SNL has always been on the edge and fallen over.
The first time I realized it, was when they made fun of Chelsea Clinton when she was 12 years old and her dad became president. Lots of people complained, wrote letters, and Lloren Michels issued a statement of apology and said "kids are off limits", and it stopped.

Oh yes definitely, I thought it was one of the funniest opening skits I've seen them do... I still think the one where Bush endorses McCain was the best though

I also felt the Tiger Woods thing was funny enough... has Rihanna not been there, nobody would care but since she was, perhaps it was in poor taste but I certainly don't think it was completely inappropriate and I feel as if it's another media blown out of proportion thing.

Loved the golf club over his head, and "Wolf Blitzer" saying "Breaking News! Tiger Woods is in the hospital . . . AGAIN!"

The Obama/party crashers skit was so funny, the secret service, Biden, taking pictures with them and when they came back with the mustache (sp?) the bush/mccain was the best, I agree. Will Ferrell is the best Bush ever.
