Snipers in other US cities?

I heard on the radio that the FBI has alerted 50 US cities regarding possible sniper attacks. Has anyone else heard about this development? http://www.glennbeck.com/news/10222002.shtml

I don't think a terrorist is going to leave notes around making demands. Just doesn't seem like the terrorist way.

To my definition of terrorist -- someone who causes harm to others with the intent of causing fear/terror -- he qualifies. Maybe (hopefully) isn't part of a huge organized group, but still a terrorist.

I think in the context of this thread ppl are referring to terrorists as those born either inside or outside this country with an outside interest to inflict terror on our country to bring about some sort of action or reaction that negatively affects our country.

But in the grand scheme of things, yes, anyone who inflicts terror is a terrorist.

And Honeywolf, that article came from the Iran Daily, I don't know how much stock I would put in it.

I just saw on CNN where they have had another note from the Sniper(s). In it they stated that our children are not safe anywhere, anytime. I live in Ontario, Canada. My daughter came home today with a permission form to visit the Henry Ford Museum in Detroit. I have serious doubts about letting her cross the border to attend this field trip. At the same time, I get extremely angry that I should even have to worry about something like this at all. A week ago, I thought that this was a nut case who was acting alone. Now after listening to the Glenn Beck show this morning as well as watching CNN reports, I am really starting to feel that this could be an attack on the US.

Pooh, I think that if the Chattham School Board had any doubts about your child's safety on this field trip they would not have authorized it in the first place. She probably has a better chance of getting hurt playing on the playground equipment than she does of getting shot by the sniper!

I'm disturbed that this has upset you so. Just another example of irresponsible journalism at its finest!
