Sneaky Disney Cruiseline? (Why would a "cheap" cruise disappear on opening day?)

Feeling suspicious... I have been keeping my eye on the 3 day cruise 1/29/17 from San Juan to Port Canaveral since the prices have been pretty low. I went to check the price again today and it's no longer on the website. I am not using any filters.

Is it possible that Disney removes some of the cheaper cruises from inventory to prop up the opening day prices? I know sometimes cruises sell out based on the # of kids staying in a room, and so I tried searching just for 2 adults. Still nothing. I feel like something is up.

Does anyone else see this cruise when you search? I cannot believe it would have filled up since there were tons of rooms open as of last night.

I'm also not seeing any cruises for Disney Dream Nov 14th, just the 3 day Nov 10th and 3 day Nov 17th. Is there a dry dock in between or did that cruise sell out?

Not that I know of, but I am not seeing that 3-night either. It sails 1/26/17 according to Scott's blog... As for the Dream sailing one cruise is too short for a dry dock though they could always charter it. I can't imagine that would happen this soon to sailing though (if you mean 2016 and not 2017).

I think cruise fish has been slow to update lately - they show a lot of availability also http://www.cruisefish.net/finder.md?id_cruise=62180

Edit: I see the Dream on Nov 14, 2016 with plenty of availability on DCL's site.

You are right, the one I was watching was actually 1/26/17 (not the 29th). I remember it left on a Thursday so I was thinking we could make a long weekend of it.

For the November cruises, I mean 2017. I see a 3 day Dream (Very Merrytime) on 11/3/17, and another on 11/17/17 but nothing in between.

There was SO much availability for the 1/26/17 cruise. I really think it's unlikely that it sold out.

It may just be a glitch, as they wer adding to the database yesterday to make the new sailings available. I would check back again for the next few days. As for sold out, one that I was watching is 'sold out' today, but yesterday it had room. Also, it actually says there are no rooms for that number of people (2A), so if your sailing was sold out, I'm thinking it would say that, not just disappear.

Also, there's the possibility that the whole cruise has been taken for a private event.

I am seeing all of November 2017 available for the Dream. :) Still no 1/29 for the Wonder though - maybe you could call and ask?

And now the 1/26/17 cruise is showing up when I search. Weird. It was gone from the search for hours today.

Guess I'll chalk it up to Disney's IT

Explain that to the Seattleites working Disney IT.

Just alluding to the well publicized issues with Disney IT (Disney World?) who had to train their replacements and then lose their job, and I think recently lost a lawsuit. If they still have folks in Seattle working on it, great!
