Sneaking treats into the movie theater

I'm not sure why people start threads. The person starting these kinds of threads are only looking for support.

Some movie theaters have a sign that prohibits outside food.

Disney has no rule against fridge swaps, is aware of the swaps and AFAIK still lets guests store fridges in he luggage storage room.

Many, if not most, of the outside food proponents know it's unethical behavior. They just don't care.

Many of the comparisons aren't accurate or fair. Disney allows outside food. One of the FAQ sections says as much. Many ballparks allow outside food. Movie theaters is one of the few venues that has a sign at the door prohibiting outside food.

Whyyyyy do people even START threads like this? There is always a conflict eventually!

EVERYONE has their own opinion about what constitutes theft or unethical behaviour!

Whats the big difference -

- taking food into the movies?

- using discount codes sent to someone else?

- using and copying coupons sent to someone else?

- *swapping* fridges ect at Disney (remember that thread?)

There have been many more examples here on the Dis but I can't recall them now.
I'm off to the mall to use a coupon and a code from a neighbor and maybe will see a late matinee with same neighbor who will probably bring her own water and granola bar. So shoot me. Us. :)

Here's a story....My friend and I went to see A Christmas Carol. She bought a box of peanut M&Ms that cost $3.50. Once we got in the theatre she opened the box to find that all there was inside was a bag that you would get in a vending machine for $0.50. We vowed we would not buy any candy from this theatre again. At my local Dollar Store they even have signs by the candy encouraging you to buy there instead of at the movies. It is a much better selection too.
