Our family of 5 has used both the Disneyland Express and Super Shutter transfer service but my husband thinks it might be faster and easier to take a taxi. Has anyone used a taxi from John Wayne to the Grand Californian lately? What price should I expect to pay? TIA!

We took the Super Shuttle from SNA about 2 years ago. I would agree that a taxi would be faster. I googled 'taxi rates' or something like that & you can put in both locations to get an approx. price.

A taxi should cost ~$40 plus tip from SNA to GC.

I just booked a 5 day car rental through CostCo travel for $70 including tax. This is incredible.

Thats helpful for me too :) We have a late flight into SNA, getting in at like 10:30pm so we thought it would be easiest to just take a taxi

You many want to consider getting a hotel near the airport that night. It might be cheaper than one near DLR. We've done that on a couple of trips.

Obviously varies with traffic, but meter read $41.30 when we arrived from SNA to DLH this afternoon. I want to say we arrived between 1 and 1:30pm

Call the hotel and ask for the bell hop desk. They will be able to tell you if the Yellow Cab "Flat Rates" still apply.
On our last trip we used the Yellow Cab flat rates for all our transport needs.
Nick was the BEST of all the drivers. I took his name and number and will be calling him when we go next time. I felt super safe in his cab as we maneuvered our way through LA traffic. Can't say that for one of the other drivers, I could get out of his car fast enough!

We are booked on DVC points...so it was a better deal for us..since it didnt mean paying more cash.

You aren't the first person to find such a great deal through Costco. When I look I can't find anything less than $400 buck or so.

What kind of car are you getting?
Is there a phone number you call or do you make arrangements online?
Is there a special time I should be looking?

For a deal like this there are some of us needing help!! It would provide a solution to the question of transportation.

Thanks

I read your post and I couldn't beleive it . . . . until I went to the Costco travel site myself and booked a 7 day car rental (with Avis) for $73 including tax.

We are using affordabletowncars.com, I read about them here on the boards.
We are also flying into SNA. $55 each way to GCH for 4, with a child seat.

they had SUV's too that seat more people for $85 each way.

I didn't price the van option

We took a taxi (2 people) from SNA to PPH last December, and it was $44. Don't forgetto give a tip too!
