My smoking at the POFQ pool story-
It was late in the evening last May and the pool was not at all crowded. My DH and DD got in the pool and I went to get us some seats. I picked a seat all the way at the back of the pool by the slide. No one was sitting near me, there was a chair piled with towels and shoes about 10 seats away but that was it. I found an ashtray and decided to call home and have a cigarette before I got in the pool. So, I'm sitting in my chair with and ashtray in front of me and cigarette in my hand when a woman with 2 teenage kids walks up and sits down two seats away from me. She sits down and starts fanning the air, coughing, and loudly saying to her kids "I can't believe we are forced to sit here in this cloud of smoke". I ignore her and try to continue my phone conversation. She keeps loudly ranting about this to her kids (who looked very embarassed) for a few more minutes. I turned to her, held up my cigarette and said "If the smoke is bothering you now you may want to move before I light it because the smoke gets way worse then"
Yep, she had been complaining about my unlit cigarette smoke bothering her. She just gave me a dirty look, gathered up her stuff and moved.
