Smoking areas in alligator bayou?

Hello: Looking at the map of riverside, it shows the smoking areas in the alligator bayou area of the resort right at the swimming pools? Is this where the smoking areas are?

We were in building 37, there was a smoking area near the quiet pool/laundry room. Most often we were the only ones there.

Not sure if you are looking to avoid a cigarette or enjoy one. Although the map is likely correct, it is not to scale. We were there a few months ago and did not smell any smoke near the pool. DH had quit smoking and was very sensitive to the smell and neither of us noticed anything. If you are looking to avoid, I think you'll be fine.

Hi: We are trying to avoid it, dd and I are very allergic to the cigarette smoke, we will trigger migraine headaches that for her could last a week once one is triggered.

We are staying at port orleans and I am trying to decide which section, but I need to avoid the smoking areas,

There are smoking areas near just about every building at POR, not just AB. They are also near the main building and the walkway to the busses (outside the general store) at the south depot. Best of luck and enjoy your trip!

Gotcha! I think I would make a list of the buildings that are closest to the smoking areas and try to avoid them. It seems like Alligator Bayou might be your best bet as there are a lot of buildings that are not near a smoking area. Good luck and enjoy your trip!

We were in building 35 and there was a smoking area by the pool. But I didn't see anyone there too often. And when I did, it was usually just one person at a time. Not 15 people smoking like in the smoking areas at the parks.

When you call to make your room request, tell them that you need to be as far away from the smoking areas as possible and explain why. But realize that if that is the most important request for you, any other requests like close to the food court or pool or a particular view or whatever is going to be difficult to grant as well.
