Smith's (Kroger) Park Hoppers?

My Mom needs a 2 day hopper for next Mon. & Tues. ~ she can purchase online from disneyland.com for $151 she can also purchase a 2 day hopper at Smith's (a Kroger store) for the same price ~ a nice card (hard plastic) with either Mickey or Pluto on it. If she goes with the Smith hopper will that be her ticket or will she have to switch it for the plasticky cardboard hopper? If so she'll buy online and go with the e ticket route so she can redeem it right at the turn style ~ however we are staying at the DLH, so if she needs to redeem the Smith's card she could do it there when we check in, correct?

The card they sell at Smith's is the actual hopper. It's much nicer than what she would get at the gates if she bought the one from disneyland.com.
