OK, I'm new at this computer thing.
I've noticed that some people have smileys/smilies in their messages. Some even play games with them.

"How do you get smileys?"

Are they free? Does it inadvertenly come with some software (that I don't want!) There are some here , but sometimes I can't find one that I want...

If you do a search on the Net, maybe using Google, look for smilies, you will see there are many sites out there. If you wish to post those not from this site, they post just like clipart. Check the Tech board (bottom end of the main menu here http://www.disboards.com/index.php?s=) for how to do that. And make sure they are okay fo the DIS, a family board it is.

Are they free? LOL Yes!

There are some on the DIS here as you have seen. You can find others by searching google usually. One site I use often is clicksmilies.com
