Smarty Jones, a part of history??

I don't really follow horse racing, but just to get a feel here from the folks on the CB........will Smarty win today, The Belmont Stakes, and be the first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978, and only the 12th in history?

Plus I was able to see some nice horse pictures, such beautiful animals.

Smarty Jones is a fantastic animal..the Seabiscuit of our generation.

Considering he almost killed himself last year, to come back from that and be where he is today.

Only thing that stands in his way is the fact that the Belmont is 1.5 miles and sometimes that gets to even the best horse. That and the fact he's not raced at Belmont before.

Win or lose, Smarty Jones is the best race horse this generation has seen.

I voted that he's a sure winner today. I think he'll win the Triple Crown. I agree that he might be the best horse our generation has seen.

He's a beautiful horse and I was in tears when I heard his story. I had no idea he almost died. I hope he wins. He deserves it. His is a wonderful "underdog" story. He is a gorgeous (and seemingly quite pampered) animal.
