Well we are definitely on count down now.
Tomorrow we will be able to say we are going this month.

We told DD last night that we are going 2 days early and of course she is really excited.

I have loads to do over the next 3 weeks at work so we are trying to start planning what we need to take so we are not running round like mad idiots at the last minute.
As Ive mentioned before the problem with combining a camping holiday in France and DLP is all the stuff you have to take but we've done it so many times now we should be able to get everything together with eyes closed.

The packing has started.

Well at least we have started getting everything together.
We've found the holdalls we want to take and found DDs sleeping bag and got the rest of the bedding sorted for when we are at the campsite.

DD has tried on lots of clothes to try and work out what fits and what she needs - (she keeps growing at the moment so I hope they still fit her in 2 wks)

Ive made a list of food we need to buy to take

Its now starting to feel very close especially now the schedule is out so we can really start to plan what we definitely want to do. We dont really make a plan as such but just like to have an idea of a few definite want to dos and then fit round those

We've just bought 3 of the Fastpass things off EBay. I want to be able to ride BTM again and again

I loved going camping when i was younger with my parents, we went with Keycamp once it was so much fun. So im really jealous, i want to go camping now.

Today has been spent sorting more things.

We have bought the bits of food we want to take with us (mainly for the campsite but a few nibbles for when in DLP)

A few more clothes have been bought

The bag of useful bits for campsite has been got together - things like washing up liquid, kitchen roll, dish cloths, washing tablets, tea towels, bin bags etc etc that most normal people dont need to take when going to DLP but when you do a 2 centre holiday like us you do need to remember


The plan now is to set off about 7.00pm next Friday, drive down to Ashford and hope we can get on an earlier tunnel in the middle of the night. If we cant we will doze in the car at the terminal. DH will have a sleep on Friday during the day and DD and me will sleep in the car.
We'll then drive down to DLP and have a couple of hrs in the park - even if we dont get on any rides we'll just enjoy looking round- have lunch and then try and get into our room at Explorers. We'll have a swim then have an afternoon sleep. We then want to head back into the park for a few hours to try and catch Fantillusion and the fireworks on our first night. The main reason for this is we dont plan to be up early the next day.
Of course we may be absolutely shattered so may be in bed by 8.00 and asleep

Hoping for an early finish tomorrow but Ive loads of things that I have to do before finishing for 3 weeks.

Managed to finish work at 4.30 so not bad.

Done loads of packing tonight so we can have a bit of a relaxing day tomorrow instead of dashing round like idiots ready for the drive down to the tunnel tomorrow evening

There's also a good chance that I won't get a chance to visit the Dis tomorrow, so have a great holiday! I'm jealous that you get 3 weeks away from work - I have to make do with 3 days this time

It's a shame that we'll miss each other by such a short amount of time, but I'm sure we'll cross paths somewhere down the line.

Well we are just about ready to set off.

Cupboards and fridge filled for DSs who are staying behind, Guinea pigs fostered for 2 wks then being collected by DS for last week, washing done, house reasonably tidy, DH had sleep this afternoon to help him drive through the night, had tea, packed the car ...........

Will be setting off within next half hour to drive down to Ashford then either going through tunnel during the night or sleeping in car in Ashford and going through at booked time of 6.00am.

See you all in 3 weeks although I may try to log on once we get to the campsite in Brittany and let you know briefly how the DLP part of the trip went. You'll have to wait til we are home properly though for the full trippie
