I’ve seen discussions get shut down on the resorts board, so I’m not quite sure how it’s enforced.

They shouldn't get shut down, if they are following the guidelines of no promotion but rather just a valid discussion of the other services. The owner here has always let his service stand on its own merits against others. And that is a good thing.

So, back to the original question
Yes, i have used SWV a couple of times for WDW packages and enjoy their service. Never for a cuise, Disney prices are ridiculous

It is totally allowed to discuss other travel agencies and businesses. The only rule is that you have to use the full url of the agency or business.

If the agency/business is banned from the DIS, the DIS filtering software will xxx out the url. The only time threads get shut down is when people try to get around the filter by using acronyms, descriptions, etc.

Have filled out multiple "applications" for quotes from SWV and have yet to have been contacted. Very frustrated with their lack of service.

We used them once mainly years ago and had a great experience. However, the next trip we tried to use them and had the same problem as you did. Never tried them again and have used another agency (same agent) since 2007 for 6 trips and used my AAA discount (when they were still accepted) one time when we did a quick last minute trip.

I've used them twice (including the most recent trip). The agent I had was really nice and helpful, no complaints.
