Small World - more refurb??

On another message board, it stated that SW is going to start getting new paint in the next week or so. Will SW be closed while it gets paint?? It just came back after being closed, I can't see them closing it AGAIN!!

Does anyone know if SW is going to close again for refurb. in the next week or so??

We came back last week. It was closed for a while and last Sunday, they took down the walls and re-opened. It had been all cleaned up, repainted etc... If they are going to more work, I dont know what they are going to do.
It was actualy worth riding all cleaned up.

The paiting that needs to be done is on the outisde. The inside has been totally redone, but the experior is still quite faded. They shouldn't need to close the ride again to paint the exterior.

Oh please tell me they are finally going to paint the exterior to It's a Small World. It's looked so awful for so long. It really is an embarassment..

When we were there a few weeks ago the inside was completely done (and was SO bright!) while the outside just had little areas painted so far. Maybe they're just doing little bits of the outside at a time to keep from further disrupting the ride?

Another message board has a few postings saying that there is a sign in front of it that explains that for the 50th anniversary celebration they are painting it how it originally was when Walt Disney dedicated it (white and gold.)
