My daughter is now obsessed with getting a small world doll. She is "wishing" for one and with the holidays coming up, perfect time to find one for her. But I didn't see anything in the parks and not so much online besides ebay. Ideas?

It seems Disney has stopped producing small world dolls. I don't believe they've made any new ones since the Animator's Collection. ebay is probably your best bet. I have a number of the Animator's Collection small world dolls and they are quite lovely. It looks like the cheapest one on eBay right now is $50 which isn't a terrible price for the dolls in this collection.

Thanks for the quick response. I'll get on it! She specifically is "dreaming" about the ones in the last part of small world - the finale room/white room. There is a doll with really ornate headwear - i'll have to find an image. This will be a challenge!

I'd go the ebay route if they are new in box.
I bought my niece the entire collection when Disney had it but that was several years ago when they were producing a lot of attraction specific items and they seem to have moved on from that phase.

Your best bet is buy an ebay doll with hair that might work, then find someone who can make her the costume for it and style it.

Ugh! I bought 2 Holland dolls for 9.99 each at the outlet when Disney put them on sale. I put them for sale at our yard sale this summer and when they didn't sell I gave them to my 6 year old nieces (not related) . One took it out of the box and played with it right away. The other didn't like it and it is left in the box at her house. Maybe younger sis will like it when she gets older? The dolls also sing It's a small world after all in their language and then in English. I wish I had known sooner. Would rather have a child playing with it then to leave in box.

I bought a Hawaiian doll for my DD when they first came out, but honestly haven’t seen them around in awhile. It stinks to have to overpay on EBay, but I had to do the same thing a couple years ago. My kids were just starting to become obsessed with Star Wars and my DD was Queen Amadala for Halloween. There was a little doll dress up set that literally cost $15 in the parks (but of course were sold out everywhere cause I wanted one) and ended up paying $44 for it on EBay. The smiles I got were worth the price, though. Good luck!!!

That's actually not that bad of a deal. I think they retailed for $20-25 each.
