Small gifts for 13-14 year old girls?

hi! My 2 dds are in competition dance and each younger girl gets assigned an older dancer to be their buddy. The buddies give encouragement, notes, small gifts and look out for the younger ones. I would like to give the older girls small gifts (like for halloween, christmas, competitions, etc). What does this age group like? Thanks!

DD and her friends liked girly things like fingernail polish, travel size bottles of scented lotion, body wash, etc. from bath and body works.

I was going to suggest fingernail polish too. Maybe glitter, or some crazy colors. Also headbands/hair clips.

Maybe get a plain t-shirt or totebag from Joann fabrics or Hobby Lobby (both places usually offer great coupons) and get a dance-themed iron on applique. You could puffy paint the name of the girl on the shirt or bag and they could wear it to dance or carry their dance stuff in it.

Five Below is a great store for this kind of thing. I would say NO to the bag, because at that point-- the 13 and 14 year old girls I know (I have one) are into brands or have their own favorite bag/purse.

I like to hit Claires at our outlet center and buy items from their clearance section (usually $1 each). I've gotten earrings, cute picture frames, etc.

Is there something that they might be able to use at dance or at the competitions that you could purchase?

My cousins girls have those Frogg Chilly Pads and they are so nice to have when they come off stage and are hot from dancing. If you haven't seen them, they are like a wash cloth that when wet stays cool and even of you have to rinse them out they stay cool. They are about $12 at the sporting goods shops. I know when I was younger and dancing, I sure would have loved to have one.

I was alos going to say to get the iTunse gift cards and I have seen them in packs of 3 $10 cards that you could give out over time.

TJ Maxx and Marshalls have great gift things...pretty smelling sugar scrubs for like $5 , nice travel cups and hot choclates for around the same, a scarf, fuuzy socks, etc.

wrist bands are still worn here IF they're significant. blank books or journals can be found at the dollar store. bling!-the sale table at Pier 1 often has pretty little things for 1-3 dollars. As already said, those dark nail colors are all the rage!

My daughter is 13! she loves things like nail polish, lip gloss, accessories, bath stuff, novelty stationery. You can't go wrong with a visit to Claire's! You're sure to find something there

How about the small hand sanitizers from Bath and Body Works? They have plenty of scents for Halloween (the labels glow in the dark). They also love the sanitizer holders, they also have some that glow in the dark. What about a small dollar amount to the nearest cookie, ice cream or pretzel shop in the mall? How about Vicki mints? Any thing monomgrammed with their initial on it.

A few places to check would be Lush, Vera Bradley, and I'd check stores like tjmax I recently saw a lot of lilly pulitzer stationary at one of them. I'd also check sephora. You can find lots of things under five dollars in the stores above. Sephora has events where there lip glosses are 2 dollars each. Lush has a holiday buy one get one free event every year. Vera Bradley has many items under $15.
