my daughter has a small yorkiepoo that she will be flying with res are made for the flight & kennel has anyone done this?
will she have any problems with magical express does she need to notify Magical express about the dog?

Magical Express takes you directly to your resort. Where will she be kenneling the dog? How will she get it there? However you plan to get to the kennel (taxi?) should maybe just pick you up at the airport and go straight to the kennel. As stated above, she will not be able to bring it on the bus. I know my DH for one would be very unhappy about a dog being on the bus....he is very allergic.

The dog CANNOT be in the resort with her at night, UNLESS she is staying in a Pet Loop at Ft. Wilderness Campground in a travel trailer.

Plus, if she kennels the dog at Disney, she will spend as much time at the kennel as she will at the parks.

The Disney kennels require that you drop by twice a day to walk your pet.

I don't see how she has a reservation at a Disney Kennel as they don't take reservations.

Direct from the Disney Website:

Kennel fees are $6 per day and/or $9 per night per animal for Walt Disney World® Resort Guests ($6 per day or $11 per night for non-Walt Disney World Resort Guests). Guests will be required to visit their pets at least once daily. Dog owners will need to walk their dogs at least twice daily (three times daily for puppies).

Resort reservations do not guarantee a kennel space for your pets; you should call for availability. Though the kennels have been designed for pets such as dogs and cats, they also accept birds, ferrets, small rodents and non-venomous snakes, if in their own carriers. The kennels are not set up to accommodate exotic animals. All Guests are required to show records of vaccination (rabies, parvo, DHLP, Bordetella

Why is she bringing a dog with her to DisneyWorld? He/she could just stay in a kennel at home, which would be a lot less stressful.

If you look here, you will see that only service animals are allowed on Magical Express busses:

If she is bringing her dog, she will not be able to use Magical Express.

Totally agree. Leave the dog at home. We pay $20 a day for our dog to board with our dog trainer... I would never want the stress of having my dog with me on the trip. More time would be spent worrying about the dog than enjoying my trip.

Wow! I paid $12.00/day for my trainer to keep my Akita last month and thought that was a little expensive (and she continued to work with him everyday on his commands, as well as took him out and played with him twice a day). His vet would keep him for $8.00/day, but wouldn't work with him any. My ex keeps my little schih tzu when I go to WDW, but he has an older male Rottie that I'm afraid my Akita would hurt, so my Akita had no choice but to stay in the kennel.

Anyway as far as the OP, I agree with everyone else. I miss my schih tzu like crazy everytime I go somewhere, but know she is happier back home. Your daughter's pooch would not be allowed on the DME bus, would have to stay cooped up all day in a strange place with strange dogs, your daughter would be required to leave the parks at least twice a day to go walk the dog, and I can't help but feel her leaving the dog twice a day for a week would be harder on the dog than leaving him just once. I know my schih tzu would howl everytime I left her, whereas she is very happy staying with my ex and his rottie. I usually call her a few times while I'm down there and my ex says she always tries to eat the phone, then immediately runs to the front door and barks to get out.

Last Nov I had to fly my ds's cat to him, from Boston to Orlando. The cat was on the plane with me, but because I couldn't bring her on DME, ds had to make the extra drive to MCO to pick us up. He then dropped me off at BWV and continued his drive back to Tampa. So...no, there is no way any animal other than a certified service animal is going to be allowed on DME. I called and asked and they told me they were very firm about this.

I want to live in your area! Our vet charges $35/day for boarding and another local kennel is $18 for basic care with tack on fees for walking, playing, etc...

We love our trainer because our dog gets to sleep in her bed with her just like she does at home. She is only kenneled for feeding times and gets free roam of the house the rest of the time. There are at least 5 other dogs there as well, so we are happy with the care.

I pay $45 for a dogsitter to come to my house three times a day to walk our two dogs. They also bring in mail, turn lights on-off, and sit and play with the dogs.

The kennels here are way more like $30-45 for each dog and then if you want them walked it's extra. My older dog would never "go" in a kennel (ok maybe after a week or so but that would be cruel to her.)
