Day 5- Monday June 25th Final Day
The trip is coming to an end. Had to get packed this morning. Packing is always sad. I woke up with a sore throat. Not a big deal I get minor sore throats all the time. Got packed and had our luggage stored. Tiffany wasnt going to pick us up till 5:15pm. Head back over to Epcot. Got a FP for Test Track. We did other attractions and ate break fast at the Electric Umbrella. Finally got to do TT at 12:30. The standby line time was 60 minutes. FP RULES!!! Went over to the WS. We were trying to go slow and just soak up some of the atmosphere of each country. We didnt do very well. We started on Mexico's side and by 1:30 we were over at Canada. Decided to eat lunch at Le Cellier. It was wonderful. I want to go back for dinner. The place was just relaxing for me.
After lunch, we watched to Canada film and headed back to do the American adventure. By this time my sore throat was getting painful. And I started crying right there in the waiting area for the American Adventure. I didnt want to cry it just came out. We left the waiting area and went next door and got me a bowl of ice cream to help my throat. I was so embarrassed. I hate it when I see people cry in public and there I was crying in public. I guess my body was trying to tell me something. As I was eating my ice cream the sitting area was kind of warm so I got into my backpack to get my Squeeze Breeze. I noticed my camera was gone. OH NO! Started thinking where it could be. We sat on a bench right before we go to Morocco. A bus full of Disney characters had come by and I took their picture. I bet I laid the camera down on the bench and forgot to pick it up when we left. So we went to Morocco to see if anyone left it there. Nope not there. Went up to Guest Relations and no one had turned it in yet. It was a nice camera. I paid about $200 for it. The guy at Guest Relations was very reassuring. He said people have even turned in money. That most people are on vacation and understand how devastating it would be to loose something.
Well this had me in a down mood and it was 3:45 anyway. Tiffanys would be to pick us up soon. So we just went to the BC. Just outside the lobby, heading to the lake there are rocking chairs set up. We rocked in those for about 15 minutes but decided to go in the lobby. We got seats near the TV that was playing Disney cartoons. Ryan got a beer and I got a non-alcoholic daiquiri from the bar. My throat is still hurting and the daiquiri isnt helping. We sat around till 5PM. Thought maybe TTC would be a little early. We had scheduled just a normal towncar to pick us up. When we went outside there was only a limo sitting out there. We didnt want to assume it was for us, even though we had heard about people getting upgrades. Well it was our original driver and they did give us the upgrade to a limo. It was nice to have the limo. Where I didnt feel well it was nice to stretch out. Made a nice ending to the trip.
Our return flight was also Sun Country. Since we werent certain if there would be dinner, we grabbed a quick bite at the McDonalds. Good thing we did. On the flight they only gave beverages and pretzels. The cabin was warm. We got out our portable fans and that helped some. I lost my voice on the plane because my throat was so sore and I started getting lung congestion and coughing. Not an ideal end to a vacation. We got home I took some over the counter medicine that worked well. I had already scheduled the next day off work, which was good because I would have had to take a sick day
*** Just to let you know, I called central Lost and Found yesterday. They found my camera. They are going to ship it to me free of charge. They said I should have it in 7-10 days. YEAH!!!!!! ***
