How often do you umbrellas?


I am not a faithful umbrella user - I just can't be bothered If it's raining I wear a water replenent coat with a hood and I go about my way. The only time I will use an umbrella is if I'm going to be outside for a long time and I don't want to be soaked to the bone.

I use one once in a great while. I have one in my van, but always forget it.

Guess there needs to a choice between all the time and sometimes. I use one when it's needed -- whether it's for/against rain, snow or too much sun. Maybe that's a holdover from my years in Oregon! I have several umbrellas of different sizes all over the place -- used one to go out to get the paper this morning (drizzly here in WNC today).

I use it all the time when it rains. I wear glasses and hoods just don't keep the rain off of them.

I use umbrellas all the time. I have an umbrella in my desk and 3 in my car. We don't have any use for all weather type coats in South Florida.

If it's raining hard I'll use my big Virginia Tech golf umbrella. Light sprinkle and I'll probably make a mad dash for it. I don't use it in the snow (which thankfully almost never occurs here!).

i use one whenever it is raining. however, i DO NOT use one when it snows! everyone around here seems to do that, but if you did that where i grew up (syracuse - where we get plenty of snow) people would look at you funny. umbrellas are for rain, not snow.

Most of the time I totally forget about my umbrella. It does come in handy now and then, though usually only a couple times a year if that.

Not very often at all. I tend to not go outside if it's raining.

I use an umbrella frequently...at least covering the kids when we are out and it's raining. A hooded jacket is fine if it's a slight drizzle.

This thread reminds me that my favorite huge golf umbrella recently died and I need to replace it.

If I have to go to work or somewhere nice I will always use an umbrella. If I am just running errands, then I usually just run!
