I don’t like condiments on a burger, but I do like tomato, onion, and pickles. I usually don’t have those items on hand at home, so when I eat a burger out that is how I eat it.

I love a great crisp dill pickle chip or spear but it must be cold so I always ask for it on the side. Dave's Hot Chicken serves a wonderful crisp, spicy dill pickle chip with their chicken. I always ask for extra on the side. Yum!

I don't normally put pickles on a hamburger at home, but if they come that way when I order a burger when I am out, I will eat them.
I'm the same way. I don't even really put relish on a burger at home, much less pickles, but if the burger comes with pickles, I eat them.
I like pickles, a small amount on a burger is fine. The problem with burger toppings is they will turn the bun to mush if you get too many wet or damp ingredients (Lookin' at you tomatoes and lettuce)
This is what mayo is for, @Micca ! A thin skim keeps the bun from getting soggy. Having said that, I don't like either lettuce or tomatoes on my burger. They are too cold; I hate cold veggies on my hot burger!

Truth? I miss burgers. I had bariatric surgery about 7 years ago and burgers are one of the things I can't eat successfully. I can eat about a quarter of a burger before I am too full, and there isn't enough protein in that "size" of a meal to keep me healthy. These days I eat about a half of a burger patty with cheese, on a plate. However, I truly miss devouring a nicely toasted sesame seed bun with a skim of mayo, a burger with melty cheese (most any kind, except Swiss), with a plop of ketchup, some thinly sliced onion, sauteed mushrooms, and yes, pickles if they are there!

I used to put (sweet) pickles on my burgers, until doctor put me on a low sodium diet. Now, I'll occasionally have a small pickle slice just for the taste.

Sweet pickles are often difficult to find now.

Never. I like pickles, but only by themselves. If I get a burger or sandwich with pickles I'll pick them off and eat them separately.

I love dill pickles. Chicken sandwiches, salads, burgers, in pasta. Yummy. This past summer I was extremely anemic and loaded up on pickles and ketchup. Apparently it is common to crave vinegar and the like when anemic.

Love pickles on a burger, but I haven't had a burger of any kind since I began my diet. Now I want one.:scratchin

I only eat pickles when they are on a Big Mac as they are part of the whole flavors. And I only have them once in a Blue Moon.

Wait! It's a Blue Moon NOW! 🌕 I should go have a Big Mac. :teeth:

Speaking of burgers, have you guys heard about the class action lawsuit against Burger King now? Apparently "Where's the beef" isn't just an old slogan from Burger King's competitor, (Wendy's.) It's now a class action lawsuit, where many people are claiming Burger King is falsely advertising the size of it's Whoppers. They are misleading it's customers in it's advertising photos and in-store photos of how much meat is supposedly in it's Whoppers.

This is an actual Burger King photo of it's famous Whopper, overflowing the bun:

This sad, flacid, shrunken thing, not even reaching the edges of the bun, is what customers are actually getting:

:sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

(Keeping to Slo's thread, notice the pickles in both pics. :thumbsup2)

I want pickles on my burger. I will load it up with pickles! I want just the regular dill "hamburger slices" when it comes to pickles, I don't want any of those sweet pickles or bread and butter pickles etc.

When I'm out, if my burger comes with pickles I'll eat it with pickles. If it doesn't I don't ask to have them added. At Five Guys I do ask for pickles on my burger. At home, if we have pickles and I remember we have pickles I'll put them on my burger. But it rarely happens that we both have them and I remember we have them.

I always ask for the pickles on the side as I usually get really messy burgers, chili, blue, etc, and the pickles tend to get lost in those flavors.

Not a burger, but have to share this story of my DH. I eat hot dogs with little sauerkraut and mustard. DH eats them with everything in the fridge. One time I had the hot dogs in the frying pan, with the assorted topping on the counter. I got mine and sat down. DH fixed his and sat down. We ate. Went to clean up and there are still two hot dogs in pan. DH had loaded so much stuff on his roll, he didn't notice he forgot the hot dogs.
