It’s always Ranch for me on a garden salad unless I’m at Olive Garden (I get their fettuccine Alfredo) - then it’s their house Italian. For pasta salad, I use a fancy Champagne Italian.
Ranch is the one I will usually go for. I will do French sometimes if it is red (I don't like orange French). I will also do Catalina. Really I can't tell the difference between Catalina and French. I also sort of like Thousand Island.
