A Disney themed poll today…..

What is your opinion of Splash Mountain turning into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure?
I know this is a touchy subject, so let’s not get out of control on here - thanks!

For Me….I’m/we’re very excited.
Princess Tiana is my DD18’s favorite princess so she’s the most excited.
I’m sure Disney will do a great job to make sure the ride is still as fun as it’s always been.

*Inspiration for today‘s poll……the change has been talked about on some recent news shows

I'm indifferent. I have no personal attachment to the Splash Mountain theming, but I woulodn't say I'm "excited" about the makeover either. I'll be interested to see it. Disney normally does a good job (but I did not think the Winnie the Pooh overlay on Mr. Toad's Wild Ride worked well), so I'll wait and see.

I really could care less at this point in my life but I sure hope it's just as special as the old theme.

I’m excited about it. Princess and the Frog is one of my favorites. Although I would still be happy with the way it is now though and I think it’s ridiculous that they felt they needed to change it.

I’m not happy but will still try it. Don’t know anything about princess and the frog, but also know nothing about song of the south. Just will miss the ride as it has such memories and is one of my favorites. Hoping that the change doesnt effect my desire to ride it after I try it.

I’m indifferent. Splash is one of my favorite rides. I have not seen the Princess movie. No plans on the horizon for a Disney trip at this point. I hope the ride is still great whenever I get back to Disney.

It's something new, but with (assuming) the same fun of Splash Mountain. As a kid I didn't care what Splash Mountain looked like, nor did I know that it tied-in to a movie.

Let's say that the same ride were at Universal, with identical layout and mechanics, rebranded as "Shrek's Swamp Booger Bayou". You'd experience all the same fun, only with donkeys and ogres shouting at you. Granted you get plenty of that from some of the other guests in theme parks, but this time with air conditioning.

I am absolutely fine with the change and I really HOPE that they make something spectacular with it. I do worry that they will "cheap out" a little though, which is why I will reserve my excitement until we see what it's actually like. If they go all out, then I will be very happy with it.

I'm indifferent. I rarely ride it cause I don't like getting wet. I've seen Princess and the Frog and it was just Meh for me. But, I don't really watch that many Disney movies, especially the newer ones. I actually like the old theming, but things change (I'm still bitter about GMR).

I’m okay with the theme change. I just wish they’d make it less soaking. Not a fan of walking around with wet clothes/jeans after a ride. I’m one of those that packs ponchos just for this purpose.

I'm fine with the change. Splash Mountain in WDW and DL have been in a rough shape for a LONG time due to the lack of an actual refurb. When I rode the WDW version in May, I noticed a lot of animatronics and effects not working. As long as the experience isn't 95% screen based and still has animatronic characters (without the screen based preferably), then I'll be satisfied. I do worry that they won't have enough time to make this as good as it should be. Retheming Maelstrom to Frozen took around the same length of time and I wouldn't say that was a drastic improvement overall.

My only complaint is that Splash Mountain is currently more deep into Frontier Land than proximity to New Orleans/Liberty Square so I'm just thinking it's a tad out of place in relation. Granted I've never seen Princess & the Frog so maybe they can link more.
I haven't seen Song of the South in such a long time that I barely think of it riding Splash Mountain, but kids may not know the characters to love the ride as much as if they did link to something known
