Orange Bird is such a cute little character that has become very popular at WDW. I’ve never been to DL, so hopefully someone can tell us if Orange Bird is popular in California too. Not to many people know much about Orange Bird, so here’s some information for you……

Now that you have learned about Orange Bird, I’m wondering what your opinion is of this cute little bird. So give us your orangy good answer today………

What is your opinion of Orange Bird?
Do you buy Orange Bird merchandise?
If yes……how much?
(multiple choice)

For Me……I like Orange Bird, I think he’s cute, but that’s as far as it goes for me. I look at the merchandise and think it’s fun, but I have no desire to buy any. If I do buy something to wear to a future F & G Festival, I will buy it off eBay for way less money than at the parks. It’ll be outdated, but I don’t care.

Never heard of it, so have no intention to buy any of those items. Some well known Disney themed items are fun to wear at the park, but not something I would care to wear anyplace else.

Orange bird is cute! I don't have any merch, but there was a really cute water bottle I saw in someone's Instagram post - if the Disney store in the airport had stocked them the last time I was in Florida, I probably would have bought one.

He’s cute I like him once I find the right merch for me with him I’ll get it - just haven’t found the item yet !

Orange Bird is an advertising gimmick. I don't understand how he's become a Disney "character." No interest in him or his merch.
(Sorry, I am in a foul mood today...)

I like him, think he is cute, but have no desire to own anything themed with him.

I love Orange Bird! He’s one of my top five favorite characters. I do buy some Orange Bird merchandise though. I have an OB Dooney bag, OB juice glasses, an OB Pandora charm, a few OB shirts, an OB ears headband, OB Crocs, two OB Magicbands, and three different OB plush (including the shoulder plush). I am kind of selective about what I buy though, and didn’t buy anything from the festival this year. Some years I buy almost everything.

My top five favorite characters, in no particular order, are Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Orange Bird, and Figment.

Although he started as a mascot for orange juice, I don’t really see OB as being any more of an advertising tool than any of the other Disney characters, especially Mickey.

::yes:: The poll needed another choice: “What the heck is Orange Bird and why would I want to buy it?”. I also don’t wear themed stuff (Disney, sports teams, bands or whatever) except to their respective venues/events.

Way back in the early 1970s I remember being a little kid and seeing OB at MK. My little brother around 3 at that time adored OB. Even today I will occasionally pick up an OB item in the parks for my brother. He still has several items that he got way back in the old days, lol.

I can't stand the Orange Bird and feel he has no place at Disney World. I do not consider it a Disney character AT ALL. It was designed by Disney but that is where it ends for me. It is the mascot for the Florida Citrus Commission, and also closely associated with Anita Bryant. I don't think it has any place in the parks. I realize it was allowed to have visibility in the parks back in the day in a partnership with the Commission, and now Disney has chosen to utilize the character for monetary reasons .... but .... I'd rather they look at other nostalgic characters that are actually Disney characters to bring back to life.

Definitely no orange bird at Disneyland. Strictly a FL thing.

That said, I do like Orange Bird well enough. I have a few things with him on it, but I hate the color orange, so a lot of his merchandise is not for me since it has a lot of orange in it.

I like OB but don't need any branded merch. I support Disney re-introducing throwback IP:earsboy:

I'm aware of the OB, I can take or leave him, have no merch, no desire for any. Seeing he was associated with Bryant would make me lean to leave him, not take him.
