Never heard of this recipe.Love them and so do my pups!
Try them with black beans, rinsed and cooked, plain Greek yogurt mixed with chili powder to taste, avocado, and a bit of cheese.
You can even put soap suds on them if you can eat cilantro
Happy Birthday to Marie!!I like them but we never seem to have them at home other than holiday time. I might have to talk to Marie about that today, and on her birthday today no less.
If they are an available choice in a restaurant I will often get one. Usually butter, a little salt and pepper.
A very very happy birthday to Marie!!I like them but we never seem to have them at home other than holiday time. I might have to talk to Marie about that today, and on her birthday today no less.

Never be sorry.DH and I both really like sweet potatoes in all forms. DH's least favorite is sweet potato fries, but I love them. We often do roasted half and half with white potatoes. I make a sweet potato casserole (no marshmallows) for Thanksgiving that everyone loves and then I realized it was silly to limit it to just holiday meals so now I make it more often just on a smaller scale for me and DH.
We both love baked sweet potatoes. I like mine baked with just butter and a little salt. DH likes it with a sprinkle of brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter (like you get at the chain steakhouses). I make them often but more so in the fall/winter.
(Sorry Slo....digressed a little from the original just baked sweet potato question!)
I fully admit that I’m VERY guilty of turning something healthy into something not very healthy. I put butter, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon sugar and sometimes marshmallows on mine. I told you….not healthy, but so so very yummy![]()
This is very interestingA loaded sweet potato still has over 300% of the RDA of Vitamin A. So, still more healthy than not. And better to eat than not. . . so I tell myself as I load on the butter.
Hmmm……I'm totally with you on the sweet potato love! Baked sweet potatoes are awesome. I like to keep it simple with just butter and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Sometimes I'll add a little honey if I'm feeling fancy. They're so versatile!
Cilantro tastes like soap suds to me, so when I have a recipe that calls for cilantro, I call the cilantro soap suds.Never heard of this recipe.
