I don’t like sweet potatoes at all, no matter how they are prepared.

I love them. I don't "understand" adding sweet (marshmallows, brown sugar, etc.) to them, though. Already way too sweet. I usually roast them with cumin, chili powder, s/p, garlic, onion, jalapenos, and some Hatch Chile seasoning I have from TJs. They go in my tacos, breakfast bowls, salads. I love them so much :)

DH and I both really like sweet potatoes in all forms. DH's least favorite is sweet potato fries, but I love them. We often do roasted half and half with white potatoes. I make a sweet potato casserole (no marshmallows) for Thanksgiving that everyone loves and then I realized it was silly to limit it to just holiday meals so now I make it more often just on a smaller scale for me and DH.

We both love baked sweet potatoes. I like mine baked with just butter and a little salt. DH likes it with a sprinkle of brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter (like you get at the chain steakhouses). I make them often but more so in the fall/winter.

(Sorry Slo....digressed a little from the original just baked sweet potato question!)

Love them and so do my pups!

Try them with black beans, rinsed and cooked, plain Greek yogurt mixed with chili powder to taste, avocado, and a bit of cheese.

You can even put soap suds on them if you can eat cilantro
Never heard of this recipe.

I like them but we never seem to have them at home other than holiday time. I might have to talk to Marie about that today, and on her birthday today no less. :scratchin

If they are an available choice in a restaurant I will often get one. Usually butter, a little salt and pepper.
Happy Birthday to Marie!! :bday:

I like them OK, prefer regular baked potatoes, though. For either, I just use butter, maybe a little s&p. I'm not a huge fan of sweet foods that shouldn't be sweet (like, Ice cream is OK, hahaha!) so I steer away from the brown sugar, maple syrup, marshmallows, etc.

I like sweet potatoes but only eat them once in a while. Baked, fried, or mashed in a casserole are all good. Best baked with honey butter.

They are Ok, but no interest in adding a sweet spice to them...maybe a spicy spice.

Prefer them as fries.

Coincidentally I just had a slice of sweet potato with my lunch. I like to bake them in foil and just keep in the fridge as a side throughout the week.
Can't say I love them, but they're healthy and satisfying. Sometimes when I make regular mashed potatoes, I'll toss in one or two sweets as well, just to boost nutritional value and lower the glycemic index.

A very very happy birthday to Marie!!

I hope she's having a wonderful day today :goodvibes

Never be sorry.
These polls are just for fun and they give lots of people, me included, great ideas about certain products, recipes and etc
Everyone's posts are always appreciated :goodvibes

I fully admit that I’m VERY guilty of turning something healthy into something not very healthy. I put butter, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon sugar and sometimes marshmallows on mine. I told you….not healthy, but so so very yummy :goodvibes

A loaded sweet potato still has over 300% of the RDA of Vitamin A. So, still more healthy than not. And better to eat than not. . . so I tell myself as I load on the butter.

This is very interesting
Thank you for posting this - it makes me feel better about making my sweet potato into what seems like a dessert - LOL!
I'm totally with you on the sweet potato love! Baked sweet potatoes are awesome. I like to keep it simple with just butter and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Sometimes I'll add a little honey if I'm feeling fancy. They're so versatile!
Hmmm……:scratchin
I never thought about using honey - I will most absolutely try this sometime ::yes::

I enjoy baked sweet potatoes. I have had them out with the cinammon and all. At home when cooked in the oven or microwave, usually plain or with a small amount of butter. If roasted, just the olive oil and other seasonings involved in their preparation are enough.

Love baked sweet potatoes. Add some butter, sea salt, pepper, cinnamon and turmeric and it is ready to go.

Not a big sweet potato fan. Will eat a small serving at thanksgiving but never make them otherwise.
