I have had some that went way beyond their label rating. At least for me. So now I tend to stick with mild, so even if they are mild+, I am still good.

I do not like spicy food. Mild all the way. I can "handle" medium for a bit but do not enjoy it. Spicy food is just something I never understood the appeal of. Like how can you taste anything if your mouth is on fire and your taste buds have been burned off. But apparently I'm in the minority because people seem to be into spicy more now than ever.

I hate to break it to you, but if you are outside CA, and really just So Cal, you are really only eating mild salsa. Don't take it personal; It's a regional thing. It would be like expecting to find a good cheesesteak sandwich outside of Philly or a good Cannoli outside of Boston.

Hot for me, though not too hot. There are some hot sauces out there that just burn, can't taste anything.

Looks like you haven't been to NM or AZ.

I absolutely cannot stand hot foods. Hot is a sensation, not really a flavor. And I can't stand fighting my food while I eat it.

I wish this "trend" would be over with. I like Indian and Thai dishes and a couple Mexican dishes when they have NO heat at all. I always get the weird looks from the waiters though when I say not hot at all. They don't understand, especially as they don't cook the meals: "Just leave the chili peppers out. Leave all the other spices in."

I could never tolerate hot and spicy foods. Up until about 10 years ago medium salsa was OK, but I’ve been wimped down to mild, and sometimes even that is too much.

Mild is about it for me and the very rare these days. Ever since the radiation on my throat area it is very sensitive to hot and spicy foods.
