I can my own salsa so I control the temp. I usually keep it at a medium level.
I like medium, my DH and grandsons, like hot or extra hot. DH has about 8 bottles of hot sauce in active use. Eggs, use this, veggies, use that, Ketchup, add that. No wonder they go for the hot or extra hot.

Hot sauce is another layer. We typically have the collection of hot sauces too and DH & DS will add it to almost everything. It's way too much for me. :crazy2: I like tasting the actual food.

Mild for me please - I just do not like the burning sensation on anything. I had Indian food for lunch yesterday with an Indian friend and she and the waiter were both rolling their eyes when I ordered.

Maybe it's a product of my taste buds wearing out as I get older, but I like hot food a lot more than I used to. I prefer the hot salsa and if they don't have it hot enough, I add some of that green jalopeno hot sauce to it.

I love mine super spicy. I get a ton of "super hot" peppers from the farmers market each summer and blend them, then keep them in the freezer to add to my homemade salsa over the year.

There was a lot of flavor in the foods I had growing up, but hot spices were not in the mix. I can only handle mild, and sometimes even that is too much for me. I just can't do spicy foods at all.

I like mild salsa but will very carefully taste a medium if that is all there is. I like Jack's fresh mild rather than the jarred salsa.

Don't care for salsa. Just not a fan of 'hot' foods in general. Apparently some people find spicy foods appealing, but the idea of eating anything that makes my mouth seem like it is on fire just not my thing.

I prefer medium. It's just the right level of spice. I can eat hot, but I don't like hot foods that just burn without much flavor.

I prefer mild, but can go with medium. I’ll pass on the really spicy stuff. I don’t like having my mouth on fire😁

The hotter the better! When I was young, my dad would watch me eat hot things and tell me that one day I wouldn’t be able to do that anymore. So far, so good. I know it’s just right if my eyes water and my sinuses clear . . .

I'd say medium, but on the hotter side of medium I guess. I can defintiely handle the heat, but don't always want to. It might depend on what I am having with it too. I do find mild kind of lame though - it's gotta have a little kick in there!
