I can my own salsa so I control the temp. I usually keep it at a medium level.
Hot sauce is another layer. We typically have the collection of hot sauces too and DH & DS will add it to almost everything. It's way too much for me.
I like tasting the actual food.
I like medium, my DH and grandsons, like hot or extra hot. DH has about 8 bottles of hot sauce in active use. Eggs, use this, veggies, use that, Ketchup, add that. No wonder they go for the hot or extra hot.
