Super Bowl Sunday is around the corner, which means it’s time to see if your Super Bowl Squares are winning numbers. So tell us today……

Did you buy any SB Squares this year?
If yes….how many did you buy?
If yes….are your squares from the same place or different places?
Have you won in the past?
(multiple choice)

For Me…..I personally didn’t buy any, but my DH did buy 3 from my neighbor - his daughter was selling them as a fundraiser. We won’t be watching the SB from start to finish - we aren’t football fans. My DH will turn it on once in awhile to see the score, and for me to see the halftime show (if I miss the show because we didn’t turn it on in time, it’s no big deal). I’m hoping one of our squares wins, that’ll be nice additional money for our upcoming vacation. We have won in the past - about 5 years ago.

Did not buy one. Haven't seen one for many years now. When I was working at the company where Marie and I met each other back in the 60's, I recall playing, never winning, a few years.

4 so far - for a charity my wife is on the board of ($25 each). And we’ll probably buy one or two more by the time the week is out for other groups.

I sold squares for fundraisers for many many years (dance). They are always at every Super Bowl party I’ve ever been to.

Just never have participated in the Super Bowl pool. In part because at my first employer, it was run by the same guy who ran the regular season football pool and in that case he would avoid certain people who knew nothing about football and kept winning that pool, LOL.

I don't frequent places that do this anymore, but in my misspent youth I lost a lot of- and won some- money doing this. Always fun, as it gives someone who doesn't know much about football a fair chance to get in on a friendly wager.

They usually do this at my buddy's Superbowl party, but I often don't participate. It's just a buck a square, so nothing major and just for fun, but I'm not going to get cash for jsut for that. The first year I went I didn't even know about it and bought like two squares, and ended up winning several of the pots. They all hated me!

Every single softball team/club we've ever been affiliated with does squares as a fundraiser. It's not even limited to the Super Bowl. We're on our fourth or fifth round of selling squares for the 2023-2024 season. Our team had two separate boards of squares to sell for the Super Bowl. The cost and minimum we're required to sell changes each time. This time, we were required to sell at least 11 squares at $25 a piece. You have to buy out if you don't sell. I try hard each time to sell them, but nobody ever buys...probably because everyone we know that would buy also has kids in youth sports and is also selling squares. So, we've got $275 invested in squares this time around. I guess at least I know it helps pay for their hefty summer travel schedule.

We did win some last year. I want to say it was close to $400. I'm really hoping to win some this year. It would be nice to make back some of that buy out money as well as our buy out on a recent raffle ticket fundraiser.

I am not participating, but someone at my office is putting a football pool together. I am not at all into football and I'm not sure if I'll even watch. I think my office's are $5/square.

For those who've never seen or heard of it, the numbers at the top/side indicate the last digit of the score for each team. Each person puts in money to "buy a square" (or multiple squares). The the money collected is divided for prizes based on the score at certain points in the game. The biggest prize is for the final score, but there can also be smaller prizes awarded for the halftime score, and sometimes end-of-quarter scores. So, in slo's example... if SF has 0 points and KC has 3 points at the the end of the first quarter, Riley would win the money allotted for the first quarter prize. And if it was SF=14 and KC=28 at the half, then Skyler would win the halftime prize, and so on...

No idea what you're talking about! Assuming not rice krispies squares.?????LOL

I voted other as I have no idea what they are. I’m not a big football, or Superbowl fan, though.

I haven’t in years, but used to participate in a weekly office football pool (picking the winning teams with the point spread), as well as the Super Bowl boxes. Have also played the box grid a few times at SB house parties with friends. I have won the Super Bowl pool once or twice; they were smaller amounts for one of the quarters, not final score (as described above by @design_mom).
