Yesterday I was looking in my closet, trying to figure out what I was going to wear to work, and I said to myself, “Sandy, you have a lot of stripes in this closet.” I must like stripes, since I buy them a lot. I don’t seek them out, it just happens. So, I started to wonder how many of you wear stripes :scratchin. Before we find out, I looked up info about wearing stripes….

I always find these pieces of information interesting. I wonder if I gravitate to wearing stripes because it makes me feel confident and calm :scratchin. I’m a pretty confident and calm person, so maybe I do subconsciously choose stripes a lot :scratchin. Time to find out how many stripes you have in your closet. Give us your stripey good answer today……

Do you have striped clothes in your closet?
If yes…..what type of stripes do you wear?
How much of your wardrobe are stripes?
(multiple choice)

For Me…..Yes, I do enjoy wearing stripes very much. I don’t wear them everyday, but i definitely wear them a few times a week. All my stripes are horizontal. I have no vertical, diagonal or chevron stripes in my closet. After doing this poll, I now feel compelled to buy some vertical, diagonal and chevron stripes to make ny closet more well rounded - LOL! In regards to how many stripes are in my closet, I’d say about 1/3 of my entire wardrobe, summer and winter, are stripes.

I have maybe 4 items 2 dresses and 2 sweaters I don’t wear them very often because one of their summer dresses into the sweaters are very lightweight and they’re made for the dresses so I don’t wear stripes very often just not appealing to me I’m more of a polkadot person

I have stripes both ways but not a ton of pieces. My big dislike is animal print on clothing so I don’t have any clothes with that design.

I have a handful of button-down shirts with vertical stripes. Some plaid too, if you count that, but none with just horizontal.

I think I probably have a few striped shirts in my closet. Haven't worn in years, well past the donate time. I have to do that, thanks for the reminder, Sandy.

I don’t have many stripes in my closet, but I’m definitely more of a stripe kind of guy 😂

I’m really more of a ruffles, lace and cheetah print person. I can only think of a single striped piece in my closet - a white linen summer dress with pale blue vertical stripes of varying widths woven in. Horizontal stripes or even plaid? Forget about it!

I have stripes in tops, bottoms, dresses and skirts. Not a ton but 2 or 3 of each at a minimum. Now animal print, that's my jam, lol.

I like stripes. My favorites are chevrons and stripes set on the diagonal...although, I also do enjoy a good vertical pinstripe on the right garment. I recently purchased a classic rollneck sweater with 80s/90s style horizontal stripes in various colors and widths. It was between that and a rugby styled from the same vintage. I still prefer plaids, argyles and bold patterns over stripes though, so I'd say less than 1/4 of my wardrobe is striped.

I used to have some stripes, but those clothes have worn out. I am more into floral prints or solids at the moment, but if I saw a striped shirt I liked I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it.

No stripes. Most of my “work shirts” have some type of flower on them. Not on purpose it just worked out that way. And I am not in general a flower person.

Interesting thread and reasons for stripes.
I don’t wear them much and currently they can only be found in my tops and blazers.
Now if we were talking about home decor it would be a different answer.

I have one cap sleeve spring blouse with stripes and they are vertical.
Almost all my clothing is solid colors. Pretty basic, boring stuff. But I'm retired so dressier clothes aren't for me anymore! YAY!!!

I have a few things with horizontal stripes (a dress, skirt and jumper that I can think of off hand), which only make up a very small percentage of my wardrobe.

Stripes aren't something I'd gravitate towards when looking at patterned clothing. Florals or animal print are more my thing.
