Decorating your car for Christmas is getting more and more popular around here. I’m not saying everyone does this, but several people do. I’m not sure how I feel about this (for me), and that’s coming from someone that wears Christmas clothes every single day - I love the holiday season! What’s your thoughts on this today…..

What’s you opinion of decorating your car for Christmas?
Do you decorate your car for Christmas?
Would you ever decorate your car for Christmas?
(multiple choice)

For Me…. I like seeing other people’s car decorated - I think it’s fun. For 2024, it’s just not for me, but that’s not to say I would never do it. Since I really enjoy doing fun Christmas things, I may one day decorate my car if the forecast looks snow free - the decorations seems like it’d be a pain in the butt if the car was covered with snow.

I will never decorate my car. I'm kind of ambivalent about seeing other cars decorated. Seems like antlers and noses could easily fall off and just become litter on the roads. And light displays could maybe be kind of distracting to other drivers in some situations. But, if someone has fun with that and enjoys it, have at it.

Not for me - I have seen some cute cars & tractor trailers decorated and I enjoy seeing the trams at Castaway decorated when I’ve been there for the Holidays !!

I do not decorate my car and am confident I won't in the future. Natalie sent me a picture the other day if hers, antlers and red nose. She said her boys like it.

Have never done it, nor plan to. I don’t see it very often. Once in a while, the nose and antler thing, or a wreath on the front of a truck. Most common thing probably is a “Keep Christ in Christmas” magnet. Don’t think I’ve ever seen Christmas lights on a vehicle and apparently they are illegal in most states.

Not for me, don't care if someone wants to decorate their car.

Yesterday we saw a Jeep with a very nice wreath in the back, I suppose it was covering up the spare, and we both thought it was nice. We won’t ever decorate our car for Christmas.

I think it’s fun when I see a car that is decorated but I live in an area that gets snow so I don’t think I’ll ever decorate my car. This morning I saw a car that had lights on their roof rack. It made me smile.

There's a big difference between some magnets and antlers on a car, and going all Christmas Vacation with lights on a vehicle! The lights are definitely a NO for us. But why not a few magnets or a red nose? It's hurting nothing while people have fun with the season. And it might even make someone smile..... we can use more smiles......!

I like seeing the minor decorations - wreaths, garland, antlers. We have a car in the area that has the car covered in lights; it's very distracting so I'm not a fan of that at all. I'm not likely to ever decorate my car.

It's not my thing - I don't have any problem with others doing it.

Something I've started seeing more this season is cars (and trucks) that are completely covered in Christmas lights (see below). Aside from seeming like it would be a pain to do (and how would you be able to keep your car clean?), it seems dangerous too.

It is totally my thing, but I've never done it. I am particular though and I have concerns.

It's cute when people do antlers and a Rudolph nose or a bunch of holiday magnets, but I'm a lights person. I really love the Jeeps that do a wreath in the spare tire, but I don't have a Jeep. If I'm going to do this, it's going to involve lights. Here's the dilemma and why I haven't done it YET.

1. The easiest lights for a vehicle are battery operated. My roof rack would be the easiest thing to wrap in lights. I see a lot of really neat things around where people have lit up the entire vehicle, but I'd be too afraid of damaging the paint.
- Unfortunately, as I've found with most battery operated lights, they lose their juice pretty quickly. I do not want to spend the entire month of December replacing batteries.
2. The next option is USB operated.
- This is a pain because the only easy way I know to do this is use an internal USB port. Which means having the cord go out the window.
> My issues with this are that a. a tightly closed window may damage the cord. b. A chunkier cord can damage the window seal. c. A big lighting pet peeve of mine is lights not being exactly in place. In other words, the lights start before the area on which you're trying to display them. I've been known to add extra extension cords on my outside display just to keep it looking clean.
