I do not like pumpkin pie​

I'm not really a fan, so when there are multiple choices, I just pick something else. But if someone makes a special effort and would feel good if I tried it, I'll have a small piece.

I will not eat it on Thanksgiving - please post if you’ll be honest about why or make an excuse​

No excuse will be needed. We're having my niece's birthday cake for dessert tomorrow instead of pie

I used to make a lot of cheesecakes....tried so many different flavors.
DH likes pumpkin cheesecake but not pumpkin pie. He likes pumpkin bread too.

I love pumpkin pie. I cook down my Halloween pumpkins into fresh puree and make the pies from that. I have been doing this for years and it’s tastes so much better than any store bought pie. We also make a yummy soup with the pumpkin purée too.

None of us are huge pumpkin pie fans, but…this year everyone was crazy about it. We figured out that this was the first time the pie was baked in the morning and never refrigerated. It made a huge difference. The pie with fresh whipped cream was really good.

I like pumpkin pie and very easy to make. You can buy the pre-made 'pumpkin pie spice' or make your own where you can try adjusting the ratio of spices (usually ginger, cinnamon & nutmeg) to suit your taste. Have made pumpkin puree from pie pumpkins a few times and never found the extra effort was worth it. Pumpkin puree (whether in the can or homemade) doesn't really have any taste/flavor, so the taste of pumpkin pie is mostly the result of whatever spices you use.
