Usually, every night for a little while. Esp for DISboards!
Also in the morning, sometimes I'll do wordle, other word games before getting up. But every night, doing something on the phone for a while before bed.

I do use it often -- usually to play solitaire or something like that. I know I probably shouldn't, but I do.

I keep my phone next to my bed. I only have a few friends (by choice) on FB and that's mostly family. There are times kids are traveling and I'll say let me know when you get there. So I'll hear a ding. Not as jarring as the house phone ringing.

But I listen to an audiobook to fall asleep. I use headband earphones to listen and will hear that "ding" in the earphones.

IMO the big "no no" is a bunch of BS.

I use not my phone but my tablet every night to watch videos right before I go to sleep.
It helps me to relax and unwind.
And I sleep dang well at least I have since I stopped wearing a fitness watch to bed.
THAT is what the big "no no" should be. It was very much disrupting my sleep and then I'd stress about what my sleep score was and the fact that I was so tired with aches and pains all day.
I decided to only wear it for Disney trips for fun now and I've slept so much better without it.

No phone in bed, but I do use an old iPad as an ereader. I have it set on a black screen with white letters, and haven’t noticed it affecting my sleep.

I use phone before bed. News, family text, maybe late evening dis. I do have the blue light switch to night mode at 7 PM to 8 AM. Phone is on nightstand, turned on. Sometimes I'll listen quietly to the Spa channel on Sirius XM as I doze off. No issues sleeping.

Every night DH and I lay next to each other in bed, both scrolling on our phones. He’s super busy all day so he uses that time to do “fun” things on his phone like games or videos he’s been wanting to watch. I’m usually on Twitter or YouTube. It’s kind of sad because we used to read next to each other but now we’re on our phones. I’ll also get on it if I wake up in the middle of the night.

I do, often. Check some social media or play some games just before bed. I do have it set to do not disturb from 11-6, so I don't get notifications interrupting my sleep.

Voted other - I use my phone in bed in the morning when I wake up. I have it with me during the night in case of emergencies, but don't use it for anything but setting an alarm for the morning. I will check emails in the morning. I take synthroid and am supposed to wait an hour before eating, so I use my phone and also watch a morning news show to kill time.

My CELL phone is turned off and on the kitchen table when I am in bed. My LANDLINE is on the nightstand next to the bed, and useless for anything but getting and receiving calls. But I have an adult child living overseas, with a 9 hour time difference, and if she needs anything, she feels free to text anytime and knows it won't disturb us if we are asleep. And she knows if she has an emergency, she can call the landline and reach us immediately. The best of both worlds for us.

AMEN!!!
I couldn't agree more with this statement.
I started wearing my apple watch to bed to track my sleep, and even though I know I get under 6 1/2 hours of sleep at night, seeing it on my watch made me feel more tired. Then I'm stressing about getting to bed earlier and falling asleep faster - yep...totally stressing about it. I ended up not wearing the watch anymore to bed too, and it made me feel better.

I don't use it in bed but it is on the bedside table next to me in case my son calls. I do read my kindle in bed before I go to sleep. If hubby isn't home I also turn the TV on music to sleep to. I only get around 5 hours of sleep a night, if I'm lucky I get 6 so reading helps me at least fall asleep. I can't remember the last time I slept the entire night, even with just the 5 hours. I also don't take naps. It's not that I wouldn't like to sleep more, as I've gotten older my body just says nope, I have all sorts of aches and pains, I wake at every little noise and once I'm awake I can't go back to sleep. I seem to function fine on the 5 hours I get but thankfully I'm retired.
Same for me.
I have a Kindle Paperwhite, so the screen doesn't affect my sleep.
My Kindle is one of my most favorite things that I own - I love it and it goes with me when I go out of town. Going to bed without it would be totally weird for me - I need to read to unwind from my day.

The only thing I use my phone in bed for is to check the weather forecast and maybe Googling something of interest. I have it set on "Do Not Disturb" overnight.

However, 2 or more hours in front of a screen in the evening is "bad"? LOL, seriously how many people DON'T do that...even if it's a tv or something. I may not use my phone much in bed, but I am on my laptop until I am ready to go to sleep. I don't have any problems falling or staying asleep.

No phone, so I definitely don't use it in bed!
There is a landline on the windowsill but nobody calls landlines anymore, except "Spam Risk!" I have a Nook paperwhite that I use to read in bed sometimes, but that doesn't bother my sleep- it usually PUTS me to sleep!

I like to play some word games before falling asleep. It doesn't impact my sleep in the slightest.

I can say the same for caffeine, I can drink coffee or whatever else that has caffeine and it doesn't stop me from getting my ZZZ's

Nope, not at all. It's not even in the room with me unless I'm on-call for work (once every 7 or 8 weeks). Even during the day, I don't web surf on my phone. I have a few apps but mostly it's just calls, texts, e-mail and photos.

I usually do a last minute check for texts, voicemails and emails before bed. I never have the ringer on unless I am expecting a call back from somewhere I have called and am awaiting their reply. And that is rare. The last time was several weeks ago. So I just check it periodically throughout the day.

In the morning I do a check and look at the weather and a few other sites before starting the day. Including here!
