Yum! Yum! Guess where I’m going tonight

Have you ever been to a hibachi grill restaurant?
If yes….what is your opinion of them?

For Me…..We have a few by me, but only ate at one. We’re trying a new one tonight, and I’m very excited about it. So to answer my poll question - I love them! We’ve been to the one in Japan at Epcot when my girls were younger, and they did not enjoy it. The next trip I’d like to return - my DD20 will really enjoy it now.

I’ve been several times I have one DD who absolutely loves them so we have gone frequently we have done the one in Japan and Epcot on several occasions we have one by our house we’ve done and then we have one a little bit further out from our house that we have done I was enjoy doing them

My kids love them, I like them and my DH hates them. He will go occasionally, but avoids them, in general. I go with the kids and my friends sometimes.

I went a few times with co-workers there was one near where we used to work before we went remote when Covid happened. My family has food allergies and would not be able to eat there. If I really wanted to go to one I am sure I could find people but it is not really for me.

We have several by us. I do like them, but we tend to go for lunch because it is cheaper.

We enjoy them. We have one semi close to our home which we frequent a few times a year. We even have our favorite chef who takes very good care of us when we go - Andy is our go to guy! We have visited the hibachi restaurant in Epcot a couple of times and really enjoyed ourselves.

My family loves Japanese hibachi restaurants. There are 3 near us that we visit frequently. We've been to the one in Epcot a few times as well.

DH and I still grieve for the closed Benihana in Georgetown. We went there constantly when we were dating and early in our marriage. It's been closed at least 15 years.

The only one we've eaten at was the one in Epcot when it was called Tepenyski. Not sure what the name is now. It was fun, entertaining, food was fine.

Been to many, when the kids were little it was a cheap way to eat out (children were half price, my daughters used to go with their friends a lot in their early teens and get the kids meals which were the same size as adult meals). They would make my daughter’s meal in the back because she has celiac so she needed gf soy sauce.

I really like them, but as I have had bariatric surgery, it's not very cost-effective for me- just like a buffet. I pay full price but eat less than a 6 year old. Oh well, it's all part of the fun, right?

I have never tried a hibachi restaurant. I really prefer not to sit with strangers while dining, especially since most of my dining is solo. I think they might be fun if your party filled the table though.

We have a few in our area. My dad loved it, so that was his birthday dinner every year. We've also eaten at the one in Epcot many times! My younger son hated it when he was little, but I think now that he's older we'll try it again!

Been to lots of different ones - we like them. The “show” aspect makes it a bit of a special evening out, rather than somewhere we’d just drop in for dinner. With a group table and there being several different grill stations in the room, we do find them to be super-noisy, so not a good choice if you want to visit with your companions.
