❤️ Happy Valentine’s Day ❤️

Every year I get the impression that more and more people don’t buy Valentine’s Day cards for their significant other and others in their life. I know when I go to the dollar store there’s not a lot of Valentine’s Day cards gone. Same thing when I go past the card section in other stores too. So I’m curious about you today. Give us your heartfelt answer today…….

Are you a Valentine’s Day card giver?
If yes…..to who do you give a card to?
Are you a guy or gal?
(multiple choice)

For Me……I am not a Valentine’s Day card giver to anyone. I used to make Valentine’s Day a big deal when my girls were little, but not anymore. Even though I tell my DH to not give me a card, he still does, which is sweet. I’m not a party pooper, or a Valentine’s Day Scrooge, it just doesn’t make sense to buy a card that gets thrown away in a week or less. My DH knows I love him - I tell him every day ❤️

**Add On & :offtopic:……I posted a thread on The Resorts board about early check in on the MDE. If anyone has some insight on this, please take a look at my thread - thanks 🙂

I used to do cards but seriously they’ve gotten so expensive for something that like you said get thrown away within a day or two it seems like such a waste And if you want a card you can easily make your own So I quit buying cards years ago !!

It's a special day for me...it was my mother's birthday. She would have been 100 today.
I give cards and presents to my DD, DIL, DS, DGD and DGS. And send a card to a cousin.

None for DH. We're on a cruise. That's enough for us

We've never been into cards. We did the whole mini card thing for the class when the girls were in elementary school, but that's about it. DH and I used to acknowledge the day back when we were dating and I recall being a bit bummed that he didn't give it more attention for our first one together, but in reality, it's a big nothing. If I do anything, I buy some goodies the day after...when everything has been marked down. Even that has tapered off over the years.

I used to always buy one for my wife, but we're not really card givers typically, so we stopped that. I sent her a gift this week, as she's in Florida for the month and we won't be together for Valentine's Day.

I stopped buying a Valentine card for my husband a couple of years ago. It was a relief to him because he hated buying cards.

I only bought a Valentine card for my husband, no one else.

I always buy a Valentine's card for my husband. I also send to my sister and 2 very good friends (all out of state). Not just Valentine's cards but other holidays like St. Patricks Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. All of them alone. Sister has been divorced for some time now, one friend lost her husband last May and my other friend never married (all no children).

party:We love to celebrate everything and anything, so I usually do, to DH, DS and sometimes selected friends. It snuck up on me this year though and I’ve been without the time or transportation to shop over the past week or so. No cards or gifts for anybody from me today and I’m feeling a little sad about it.:(

We get each other cards, we are 'card people', ha. I also got Marie a one pound box of Fannie May Pixies, her favorite. Along with a small personal size red velvet Bundt cake from the Noting Bundt Cake store. Marie sends the grandkids cards with a little spending money in them, Marie will also give me some candy, though not a pound. She says I don't need it, haha.
