Depends on how I plan to eat it. If at home and eating the whole apple in one sitting, then I eat it whole. If taking on the go as a snack when away from home, works better to cut it up and splash some orange/lemon juice on the slices to prevent browning. When on the go, it isn't always practical or I don't care to eat the entire apple at one time and it gets brown if you don't finish it off right away.
