I'm pretty indifferent about this. I went to Tom Sawyer island maybe once or twice on my first few visits as a kid but have never been back as an adult. The Liberty Belle was nice to ride on and have a bit of a relax, and it was a great place to take pictures. It was a very picturesque ride and area to take photos of, but ultimately I'm not surprised it's being replaced by something that will be a lot more productive and see more footfall. It's a shame, but I loved the Cars land in DCA so am excited to see what they do here.

It is interesting that WDW's Magic Kingdom, with so much more land available, has so many fewer attractions than Disneyland. 40 versus 52.

Well, that is because due to space constraints they had to cram everything into DL whereas at WDW they just built Epcot and then the other parks. Honestly, it's those other parks where you really feel the difference as they don't have even close to 40 attractions. MK needs the least amount of help.

So, no poll options for being excited about the new stuff? I mean, sure I'll miss this stuff but also the new stuff looks great. Sometimes things have to change. It's okay.
I can save that topic for another poll.
I'm sure there are many people that are excited about what is to come next 🚗🚙

Personally I think it's going to be a mistake in the long run to get rid of the river. Deep down I know the replacement won't be nearly as good as what came before it (as is typical with modern Disney although there are exceptions).

Personally I would have liked to have seen them rehab the area without doing so much to the basic structure. The island needed more, but, heck at DL Paris their Big Thunder is on the island! I wish they could have worked out something like that Maybe not quite that implementation), but it is what it is. I'm willing to wait and see how it all turns out.

My parents were just at Disneyland Paris and they commented that the area around Big Thunder (and the park in general) is WAY more beautiful/visually appealing than MK. Also a lot of the rides are just better versions of the ones at MK.

But idk not feeling confident about this project. Absolutely do not care about the concept art as they never follow that anyway LOL

Well, it is all what you are used to. I felt like I spent way too much time traveling between parks at WDW. I have a Disneyland perspective where there are a lot of options in one place. And California Adventure is a few minutes walk away (we've done it in 2 minutes)

Oh, well if you're asking me which system is better, then, I mean, it's DL for sure! Park hopping is such a breeze there.

I think I will miss SEEING the Liberty Belle more than actually riding it. It was an "okay" attraction, but I won't miss it or Tom Sawyer's Island very much. The closure of Muppetvision 3D hurts much more, so I hope the new stuff is great.

I'm not saying its better, just what I am used to. It seems that the majority of people on the DIS are WDW people and DL is different from what they are used to.

We explored Tom Sawyer’s island several years ago. It was fun to do, once. Never rode the Liberty Belle, not even on my solo trip last November when I knew it was going away. I did take a photo of it. And watched it cruise down the river on a You Tube video. I don’t know much about what is going to replace that area.
