Chick-fil-A is my prime example for hating pickles on sandwiches. 😄 Since they don't use any condiments, the bread just soaks all the pickle juice up and removing the pickle doesn't remove all the pickle taste. I hate it! At least at Popeye's they use mayo, which limits the pickle contamination.

Yeah, but you can add sauces to your sandwich - I always put some mayo on my Chick-fil-A. Popeyes does use better sauce and better, bigger pickles too.

I had to select other because mayo makes me gag and I don’t eat it at all. I also don’t eat mustard, ketchup, aioli, or secret sauce on a burger (or in general 🤢🤮).

I prefer my burgers condiment free, just meat, cheese and bun.

Mayo is good on burgers, I don't get it every time but I do enjoy the combo.

Not mayo as first choice - Miracle Whip
But yes, my preferred condiment on my burger always even if you barbecue it
Also, my hotdogs even if you barbecue them, it’s not to say that I won’t eat a hamburger with mustard and ketchup up but I prefer miracle whip but if they don’t have it, I’ll take mayo
Ugh. Is Miracle Whip even fit for human consumption? I remember at least 50 years ago my mom made her wonderful potato salad with Miracle Whip (because mayo was too expensive) and I asked what was wrong with it. My mom tasted it and put it right in the trash. And as a child of the depression in the money tight 1960's, it had to be pretty bad to throw out food.

Isn't there a bit in the Whole Nine Yards about mayo on a burger?

I used to think mayo on a burger was an abomination. Our household has gone low carb, so I've become a fan.

I abhor mayo and if it comes out on a burger/sandwich I order at a restaurant (of course after I specifically say “No Mayo”) I will tear the bun/bread to ensure the kitchen does not just scrape it off and send it right back out.

I know people love it but I literally find it revolting and the thought of eating it turns my stomach.

I don't like it. I will ask for restaurants to remove it, however if it shows up with mayo, I can scrape it off and use enough mustard and bbq/A1/ketchup to ignore the remaining bits.

If we get a burger at fast food, they have some kind of sauce stuff that has mayo in it. That's ok.

At home, never. Mostly cause after eating the 2000 calories involved with eating potato salad , chips, baked beans, etc, I need to save the 30 calories from that smear of mayo.
Exactly!

Lots of opinions about Mayo on burgers - thanks for all the participation today :hyper2:

I don’t like mayo on anything so I would do a very thorough scraping if getting a new one wasn’t an option.

I'll have mayo on a burger if the type of burger calls for it. If I get a bacon cheeseburger - no, but maybe a mushroom swiss. Most of the time I like "simple" burgers.

If it comes with it at a restaurant that is fine but if at home just like ketchup.

A little mayo on a burger along with catchup or sometimes barbecue sauce. Never with Blue Cheese or "Special Sauce".

Not something i would add to my burger however if it is on there and not too much of it I'll eat it.

Mayo is king on burgers!

Had an Impossible Burger last night and was frantically looking for the mayo, ha!

If I am going to eat anything like that, I need a good tomato, shredded lettuce, mayo, white onion, sliced thin pickle chips, usually ketchup and mustard, and american cheese.
