I posted other. I was never a witness but I once received a subpoena saying I had to go to court as a eyewitness in the case of someone named Cookie who I’d never heard of in my life. I called and was told a witness produced a license to the police with all my exact info on it when the crime happened. That’s how I found out my identity was stolen (weirdly they never attempted anything financial) and I had a heck of a time getting out of court, proving the witness wasn’t me. Luckily my father was a judge and intervened and cleared it up for me but it was a pain in the butt lol.
