Ugh, toast is such a comfort food for me, but I am diabetic, so it is soooooo rare that I have it.

Either buttered or else charred toast with peanut butter and some sharp cheddar.

At home I usually just butter my toast. If at a restaurant for breakfast, I’ll also put jelly on if they have those little foil topped packets.

I have a neighbor who makes and cans the absolute best strawberry preserves. When I have toast for breakfast, it's my go-to.

Jelly/jam, butter, cinnamon sugar, or applesauce. Just one of those, depending on my mood. I love toast!

Edit to add: Apple butter too!

Have you tried any of the low carb breads?

We usually have an english muffin....with that low sugar jam/jelly. Our DD makes rye bread or cheesie bread for us. Those get butter. Plain old bread can get either or both.

If it's regular toast, it's usually because I'm making egg sandwiches or "dippy eggs" - so I voted eggs/meat.

But I sometimes have peanut butter on an English muffin, or cream cheese on a bagel - so if those count as types of "toast" because I make them in the toaster, then I vote for those options as well.

I ate cream cheese on bagels all the time when subbing.

I don't eat it all that often, but it can really vary, depending on my mood.

avocado, melted pepper jack cheese, chipotle tabasco on rye are probably used the most

If using white or wheat bread:
butter + cinnamon sugar
butter + honey
jam (usually strawberry, blueberry, or blackberry)
and most rare is probably nut butter + honey

It all depends on what's being toasted.

Wheat bread = peanut butter
Sourdough, French, Italian or Rye = butter
Waffle = Nutella
Bagel = butter, very rarely cream cheese
