For Me…….I’ll eat almost all types. At a restaurant I almost always order beef. At home (today being one of those days) I make chicken (today) or beef. This past week in Florida I had shrimp tacos for the first time and I loved it - I ordered it at the same restaurant twice - I’m going to make these at home sometime. I will eat pork if it’s there, but I’d never order it or make it. I don’t like fish tacos. Sometimes I like a light veggie taco - there’s a Mexican restaurant by me that makes really good ones and when we go there, which is rarely, I order them. So for this poll, I voted for chicken, beef, shrimp and veggie.

We usually make beef tacos and chicken tacos at home. I also have a good recipe for fish tacos, but they are a lot of work and I'm the only one who will eat them. I'm always looking for good fish tacos at a restaurant. I like the fish to be grilled or marinated, not breaded and fried. That's like eating a fish stick in a taco shell.

Shrimp is one of my favorites !!! I tried fish a few weeks ago - it was ok but nowhere close to shrimp ( could be because I love shrimp )
I’ll eat beef / chicken / pork / veggie - if it’s taco - count me in !!!!

Real tacos or American tacos? American tacos ground beef with Ortega shell, Old El Paso taco sauce, lettuce, tomato and cheese.

I like Fajitas. Fajita would be a grilled meat with onion and peppers. I do steak or shrimp, or both. If the kids are with me, I have to make chicken for them. No taco sauce, Fajita needs a good salsa.



Funny - work with a younger guy who said he and his girlfriend are trying to cook more at home rather than go to the bar to eat. They tried making tacos and it went bad. I am thinking they added the taco seasoning dry, no water.

So he's asking me, "Hey, how do you make tacos?" just as the door opens and our boss, from Mexico, walks in. I lug a tumb over, "He's the one to ask." So bossman sits down next to me and pulls out his phone. I look over and see he has a video up. I laugh, "He wants to make an Ortega taco kit, not learn how to grind his own corn for tortillas." as I see bossman with a video up of an old Mexican woman grinding corn on a flat stone.

I don't eat the shells, but I do taco salad fairly often.
I only like ground beef. Salsa, cheese, tomatoes, olives, sour cream and avocado or guacamole (and of course lettuce ).
DH likes them all except veggie only.

I love tacos!

At home I usually make ground beef tacos. And going out to eat I usually get beef or pork tacos. I'm okay with chicken tacos but won't go out of my way to get them.

There's this hole in the wall place near me that makes amazing 70s style beef tacos. Like ground beef in a spicy seasoning, shredded Velveeta, iceberg lettuce and a single diced tomato chunk on a shell. It was part of a local chain that went defunct. So good. So much heartburn. People make pilgrimages from all over for their queso dip and tacos.

There's another newer local chain that makes pretty good shredded pork. It's one of those build your own but not Chipotle places.

Speaking of Chipotle, the new chicken al pastor is not bad.

I chose “other” because there wasn’t an “all of the above.” I’ve never met a taco I didn’t like. As a kid I always asked for tacos for my birthday dinner and when older DD comes home for a visit she always requests tacos. Basically if you can put it in a tortilla my family is all over it. Out I’ll order chicken or shrimp and veggies. At home I make ground turkey, ground beef and shrimp as well Carnitas and Carne Asada.

I mainly do bean tacos...refried black is my fave, but there is no bean that I don't love.

I usually do cabbage, tomatoes, white onion, lime juice, jalapeno, avocado, sour cream, light cheese, hot sauce.

I love all the tacos. When I make them at home I switch between ancho chili chicken thighs and beef sirloin tips.

I like most kinds, but I'll toss another in there - I suometimes substiutue ground turkey for beef to cut down on the red meat. I don't care for shrimp or seafood outside of fish, but I love a good fish taco!

At home I alternate between ground beef and carnitas (pork). I also like a chicken one I’ve made but my family not so much. My favorites, though, are probably fish with shrimp a close second. My family wouldn’t like those so I don’t even attempt to make those at home.
