During COVID days fist bumping became more and more popular, because people were concerned about shaking hands with people. For those that don’t know about fist bumping, here ya go…..

I found this interesting, because I didn’t know the origin was from boxers. After I read it, it made perfect sense. So, as I give you all a friendly good morning fist bump today 👊🏼 let us know……

Are you a fist bumper?
If yes…..who are you fist bumping with?
(multiple choice)

For Me……I’m a big fist bumper - I enjoy giving certain people a friendly fist bump. I have a few guys at the gym that I always give a fist bump to as I say good morning. I help a friend with his baseball & softball training facility and the kids/players/athletes always enjoy giving me a fist bump when they come and go. A lot of dads do too. I have noticed that many women don’t fist bump other women - I don’t know why. I do not fist bump family members, because I have no family members to fist bump with - I just have our parents, my DH and my DD21 - I give them hugs

I started fist bumping when subbing in Junior high back in the 00s. I thought Covid brought on that goofy looking elbow bump? :teeth:
Oh yeah….I forgot about that. Definitely goofy looking :lmao:
I was never an elbow bumper :sad2:

I fist bump but it’s usually with a few friends and coworkers but we’re usually doing it when we’re clowning around or somebody said something funny it’s like a high five but we don’t high five anymore we fist bump

Definitely a rare one for me, but sometimes my son's friends or someone at one of my kids' schools will do it.

The only time I fist bump these days is at bowling. Sometimes we fist bump when we miss a spare.

I avoid touching others at all costs, whenever possible. This doesn't include my family and close friends, of course! There's just too much "stuff" going around these days for me to take the chance (and yes, I am the weirdo on the airplane/in the airport, still masking; I enjoyed not being sick for several years...).

Some people at the gym during class or afterwards, but otherwise, the primary fist bumping I end up doing is at the end of soccer games (I'm a referee). Most teams will send their kids over to the refs post-game to thank us and give us a fist bump.

I'm with @leebee with the anti-touching. I really don't want to fist bump, high five, or anything like that. There are people in my circles who are big with it and I will awkwardly and uncomfortably engage, but anyone watching the exchange knows I am not a happy camper.

Never really see many fist bump. During covid I seem to recall some people would do that to be sociable/friendly instead of shaking hands. Not so much lately.

At church I fist bump...enter the concrete building with an alley of 6-10 greeters. My face is highly compromised and I am always touching the lymph node fluids that run out of my nose and eye...so extremely cautious and wear a mask ...I even form a fist when opening public doors

I will fist pump if I feel more uncertain of the cleanliness risk vs. a handshake. For example, on a cruise ship I almost always fist pump other guests and crew.

I've also realized it's not just the "germs" thing. I really don't want people touching me in general, and I am happy to not touch them, either (family/close friends exclusion applies here, too... although I am not necessarily a "happy hugger" even with very close friends.)
