Unfortunately, my favorite ornament broke a couple of years ago. My sister gave it to us in the mid-80s. It was an AIDS awareness ornament- a clear glass ball with a red AIDS ribbon hanging inside, and printed in small green lettering on the outside it said "Always Remember." It was elegant and poignant and I was really upset when it broke.
My current/existing favorite ornament is a wreath made of puzzle pieces, painted green, with a picture of 3 year old DD in the middle of the wreath. She "made" it in pre-school. I love the smile on her face, the swing of her hair, in this photo. I'm sure I'll have this ornament forever!
