Deer meat has a pretty distinct taste (IMO) and some people absolutely love it. Deer meat is not something that’s readily available unless you know a hunter. I think our town butcher has it in his meat store because he’s a hunter - I’ll have to look and verify that with myself next time I go there. My neighbor is a big hunter and he has venison in his freezer all the time and uses it a lot in chili, which I have tried. Here’s a little info about deer meat…..

Gotta love A.I. info - always full of good facts. Now that you’ve read that, let’s find out today…..
Have you tried venison (deer meat)?
If yes….,what is your opinion of it?
If no……would you like to try it, if given the opportunity?
For Me……I have tried it and I’m not a fan
. Until I lived next door to my neighbor, the hunter, I never had deer meat. I tried it with an open mind, but I do believe it had that “gamey” taste that people talk about. Would I give it another try? Maybe. My DH likes it and will always eat it when my neighbor has it.
