Liked pumpkin pie as a kid, lost my taste for it somewhere along the way, I don't like pumpkin anything now.

I like pumpkin pie just fine, but we also buy a pumpkin cream cheese roll, which I vastly prefer. I love sweetened cream cheese.

I don’t like pumpkin or sweet potatoes. I also don’t like the texture of pumpkin pie. Given the choice, I would sit and eat a pile of Cool Whip or whipped cream before I would add pumpkin pie to it.

We have pecan pie and cherry pie for Thanksgiving.

There was not an option for "I think Pumpkin pie is disgusting.", "I do not like it" just does not cover it.

I despise it and no amount of whip cream will make it tolerable.

I also hate pumpkin spice and all thinks pumpkin.
The only dessert pie I can think of that is worse is rhubarb.

BTW - my kid loves it and just watching him eat it turns my stomach - he has offered me money to eat it and still no.

I never liked it, used to taste like burned potpourii to me but my kid loves it so how many pies can you put on a table? It was bumping the Apple Pie so I decided to look for a recipe I do not hate so we could all enjoy it & Sallys Baking Addiction Pumpkin Pie won me over. We expect to make a Pumpkin and a Pecan with a nice sweet dollop of fresh made whipped cream. I still miss Apple but at least I don't hate this one, can't go anywhere near store made.

Yes, this is LOL!

Is sweet potato pie a dessert, is it served cold?
If someone has sweet potato pie, do they serve regular sweet potatoes too?

Sweet Potato Pie is very similar to Pumpkin Pie - just w/ sweet potatoes instead of w/ pumpkin - and can be served warm or cold/room temperature.

I started including Sweet Potato Pie as one of our desserts when I realized how truly southern it is. I make mine w/ a dash of bourbon.

And, yes, in addition to the Sweet Potato Pie as one of our desserts, we’ll also have Sweet Potato Casserole as one of the sides during our Thanksgiving dinner. I make my Sweet Potato Casserole w/ the pecan & brown sugar topping instead of the marshmallow topping.

While pumpkin & sweet potato pies aren’t my most favorite pies, I do like them & consider them a *MUST* at Thanksgiving, along w/ some kind of apple dessert & some kind of pecan dessert.

I make homemade whipped creams for the toppings - a cinnamon whipped cream & a bourbon chantilly whipped cream.

I think most everyone in our family likes Pumpkin Pie. And, if not, we’ll have plenty of other dessert options!

Chocolate Pecan Cobbler
Million Dollar Pie
Pumpkin Cheesecake
Pumpkin Pie w/ Cinnamon Whipped Cream

Although, in looking at our dessert menu, we DO have quite a few pumpkin selections. LOL!

I love pumpkin, butternut squash, and sweet potato pie. However, before my allergies, I hated all 3.

Once you drop the condensed milk and the dense bomb that makes of your pie, a lighter fresher pie can be had.

This is my "base" filling for pumpkin pie, although I tend to add more spices than the recipe (particularly ginger, b/c I love ginger)...https://joyfoodsunshine.com/dairy-free-pumpkin-pie/

Filling:​

• ▢3 large eggs
• ▢15 oz can pumpkin puree (or 2 cups fresh pumpkin puree)
• ▢1 cup full fat coconut milk*
• ▢1 tsp vanilla extract

• ▢½ tsp sea salt
• ▢1 tsp ground cinnamon
• ▢1 ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
