Mmmm……I love me a big ol plate of ravioli. I made this for dinner last night, so the thought of ravioli is still on my mind. I’m sure everyone knows what ravioli are, but did you know they can be stuffed with so many good things? I never really thought of it - meat and cheese is pretty much all I think of. So, let’s find out today what type of ravioli we all like. Give us your yummy pasta filled answer today……

Do you eat ravioli?
If yes….what type do you enjoy?
(multiple choice)

*If anyone has a good ravioli recipe and would like to share it, please do. It can be a recipe for the actual ravioli or a recipe that uses frozen/premade ravioli.

For Me……I don’t order ravioli in a restaurant very often, because if I’m at an Italian restaurant I’m getting something I don’t make at home. At home, my recipe isn’t anything fancy - I put sauce at the bottom of a 9x13, put a layer of frozen ravioli & mozz cheese and repeat the layers of sauce, ravioli and cheese - very easy. I only use cheese ravioli. The only time I eat meat ravioli is when Chef Boyardee makes it (yes, I eat ravioli in a can - it’s a nice, fast & easy meal that takes me back to my childhood. I don’t eat it a lot, maybe 6 cans a year) If I were at a restaurant and saw they had spinach & cheese ravioli, I’d order that. I also enjoy toasted ravioli as an appetizer.

Chef Boyardee 🤢 that kind of made me sad just saying ymmv no don’t get me wrong I love it as a kid but I can’t bring myself to eat it as an adult being in a town that is known for its toasted ravioli I absolutely love ravioli and normally I only eat toasted ravioli but upon occasions I will eat the other kind but I will not eat Chef Boyardee🤣🤣
I like the four cheese I like the spinach and cheese I will get the meat not too often will I get the seafood I will if I’m in a nice restaurant I’ve had the squash it’s very good but I don’t get it for home I get it in a restaurant you just can’t go wrong with ravioli toasted or not as long as it’s not Chef Boyardee🤣🤣🤣 SLO you so seldom give me anything I can rib you about But you gave me one today🤣🤣🤣

I love aaaaaallllllll the ravioli! - I had butternut squash ones just the other night, but toasted cheese ones are probably my favorite.

Sure, I like it, but I don't eat it much. I also like Chef Boyardee - I like to sort of pull them apart and scrape out the insides.

Did you do that as a kid?
When I was a kid I’d put one on top of a Ritz cracker with a 1/4 slice of a piece of American cheese. I still do this today - so good!

As a kid? I still do that today! Not that I have them that much, but when I do, I will do it that way.

Now, I did used to melt some american cheese over them, but in a bowl. It was big, cheesey mess!

I like it, but never eat it. Pasta is off my list of acceptable foods. Too many carbs.
When I do it for someone else it is frozen.....never canned.

Marie knows an excellent brand of frozen cheese ravs, like her mom used to make from scratch. I always liked it when we were dating and early days of marriage when I'd go to her house and her mom had ravioli, like 50-75 of them, drying out, spread out on a new sheet on the bed, I knew a super dinner was in store. The frozen ones Marie buys now is a pretty close duplicate.

Yep - I like it. It's popular here at our house. More than eating it I like the ease of grabbing a package in the fresh pasta section and a jar of sauce and throwing supper together in 10 minutes; caesar salad and garlic toast are quick while the ravioli boils. And heck, we even eat Chef Boyardee every once in a while. Pretty sure there's a can in the pantry right now. :goodvibes

Slo, your polls always hit home! I love that!
We just had ravioli for dinner last night. I make a combo to appease everyone. My daughter and grandson like only cheese. My husband wants only meat. So, I boiled the meat ravioli and I baked some cheese toasted ravioli. Thankfully I'm not picky and will eat any of them. My favorite are lobster or pumpkin.

@Dan Murphy So what brand of ravioli does Marie buy??

I like ravioli, even though I am not a huge red-sauce-pasta fan. My favorites are cheese, or cheese/veg. Not a huge fan of meat ravs, although I ate- and loved- more than my share of Chef Boy-ar-Dee, back in the day! One of my very favorite raviolis right now is from Trader Joe's- lemon and ricotta. I do them with either a pumpkin sauce or browned butter/sage.

I like most ravioli...even the canned stuff that I would eat as a kid; however, I can no longer eat cheese ravioli. I came down with a really nasty stomach bug when I was expecting DD19 and cheese ravioli was what was for dinner than night. I have not been able to stomach the taste since getting sick.

I used to make a dish like this, too. :)

But now that one of the family members is gluten-free, I stopped serving ravioli. My favorite restaurant version is spinach ravioli in marinara sauce.

I love ravioli! But like a lot of people, I watch my carbs. So I reserve eating ravioli from my favorite Italian restaurants. delizioso!

I don't think I've ever met a ravioli I didn't like. The toasted ones are just ok, I don't know that could manage the Chef B.R.D. The rest are welcome here at any time :)
