October is pumpkin month 🎃

Do you buy REAL pumpkins?
If yes….how many have you bought this year?
(multiple choice)

For Me…..I bought my pumpkins in the middle of September for a great price (couldn’t pass it up) and then put them in the shade and out of any rain until 9 days ago. I bought 3 orange and 2 white pumpkins. I will not be buying anymore, unless one of these goes bad and then I’ll replace it.

We have bought two in recent years when the grandkids come to visit; probably this coming weekend.

I bought 2 a couple of weeks ago, but it’s been so hot, they are now rotting on the front porch. But they’re giving off a good, scary Halloween vibe. I like them. Lol.

I’ll buy a couple more right before Halloween, cause my daughter likes to carve them.

We rarely buy them, usually we get some free. (one of the kids will find them somewhere free, a farm owning relative will give us some, or something like that)

This year we have yet to get any pumpkins. Here it is only October 10 and I feel like it is late in the Halloween season. We have "reusable" pumpkins & jack o lanterns out right now.

Seeing as this year, like most years, I am not at home for Halloween, I don't bother with pumpkins or other decorations.

I voted No 😩 - I haven’t bought real pumpkins for my house in decades - mainly because I’d have to buy a bunch to have a display large enough to see from the street and I have no good way of getting rid of them once they start to go…I do buy them for my grands for their house…

I bought a bunch - all different kinds no white ones - couple Cinderella’s / several regular ones of different sizes - I’ve had them out for about two weeks now
I hope they last through Thanksgiving! Because after Halloween I’ll turn them into a fall display

I usually just get a few. This year I haven’t gotten any. It had been so hot but now it’s cool out so I’ll see.

I have 4: large and small orange, medium and small white.

I saw some green pumpkins the other day and might go back and buy one.

I HATE those pumpkins and gourds that look like they’re covered with scabs or blisters.

no...we don't buy real pumpkins.
They are too expensive and they don't last long in our heat.

DD takes the grand kids to a pumpkin farm and they get some there and have a fun time

Have not purchased any yet, but we typically get one or two. I need to ask dd if she wants to carve one. With a teen, it is hit or miss.

Usually we buy a few for decorations, but we're not going to be in town this year for Halloween, so we don't want them sitting out either rotting or waiting for kids to grab them and smash them.

I buy real pumpkins. I'll probaby get them from a local farm this coming weekend. I plan to get 2, one for each kid to carve.

I used to buy real pumpkins when our kids and our grandkids wanted to carve them. But none of them are interested anymore, so we don't buy them. The squirrels would eat them, anyway. ;)

I love having real pumpkins, but living in a warmer climate, we typically wait until Halloween week to get any. I used to enjoy doing ornate carving, but they rot so quickly in the heat that I now either leave them natural or paint them. If I leave them natural, I can at least keep them out through Thanksgiving.

I buy 3. One for carving (DH loves carving pumpkins for some reason). Two sugar pumpkins for pie. Yum!!

I usually buy some pumpkins and some smaller gourds for my outside display, but haven’t yet this year.

Always real pumpkins for me, but since moving recently I no longer have an outdoor space to decorate, except the terrace of the condo we now live in. I haven't bought any harvest decor yet this year and may not, since we're still renovating and trying to get everything put away and organized, which is a higher priority. Aiming to have it all completely buttoned down by Christmas, though! :santa:
