I do like it either way. Raw with dip for me is best. I've also had some great cauliflower crust pizza, and I like it mashed.

Cauliflower has always been an enigma to me -- it's like broccoli's little brother running after him, saying, "Wait for me!"

I like cauliflower raw (plain, with dips or in salads), or cooked (usually steamed or roasted). When I was young my mother used to bread it and fry it. I also make a cauliflower soup, not a creamy type, but with garlic, chicken broth and frozen peas.

But, it seems cauliflower can be harder to find now, especially good sized heads. I am wondering if its more recent uses as a healthier alternative to grains, such as in riced form and in things like gluten free crusts, is involved.

I really can’t think of any vegetable (hot or cold) that I don’t enjoy . Cauliflower is a bit bland which explains the want for cheese sauce on It by some. I find that herb seasoning gets the job done for me.

I like it both ways. I loved the cauliflower appetizer at Space 220, where it was prepared like hot wings, but I like it just as much cooked at home until tender with a little butter and Parmesan cheese. It is also good raw with dips or in a salad. Cauliflower has such a mild flavor that it blends well with other ingredients, where broccoli or Brussels sprouts would be too strong (although I do like broccoli, raw or cooked).

Not a fan of cauliflower at all. I'll eat it hot if it's covered in cheese or gravy or something, but otherwise wouldn't touch it. And certainly wouldn't eat it cold!

Growing up my mom would steam a whole head of cauliflower. She would then combine shredded cheddar, mayonnaise, small amount of mustard and a little paprika and put that on it and then broil it until the cheese mix melts into this wonderful bubbly sauce.

It was the only way besides raw I had had cauliflower. I now make it and love it. I love just seasoned roasted cauliflower too. Cauliflower is a veggie staple in my house.

After yesterday’s exciting poll, today’s topic is going to seem quite boring - LOL! What inspired this poll was me making this the other night View attachment 1036017and you would have thought that I put dog food on the table by my DH’s reaction. Now….i do know he’s not a fan of hot cauliflower, but I thought if it was flavored an air fryed he might enjoy it and the answer to that is….nope :sad2: He did try 3 bites like his mom used to make him do as a child, but they were tiny bites :rolleyes2 (it was funny to watch) and needless to say, I’m never making that again :sad2::rolleyes2:lmao:He does like cold cauliflower and will eat a lot of that, so this got me thinking how you all feel about this. First….lets learn something about the topic…..

I found all that pretty interesting and I honestly didn’t know, until I was making this poll, that cauliflower is part of the cabbage family. How could I not know this at 54 years old? I always enjoy learning something new every day. So now it’s time for you to tell us how you feel about hot and cold cauliflower. Enquirering minds want to know how you feel about this…..

What is your opinion of hot cauliflower?
What is your opinion of cold cauliflower?
(multiple choice)

For Me…..I like hot cauliflower and I find cold cauliflower edible (I find it bland and boring). Technically, I’m not supposed to eat cauliflower until it’s cooked to death because my UC. That air fryer cauliflower was good, but I ate very little because it was still crunchy. I need it to be really soft with all the nutrients probably cooked out of it for me to digest it well. Since DH has such strong feelings about hot cauliflower, it’s not part of any dinner plans :sad2:

Like cold cauliflower in a salad or on a snack tray with some sort of dip. Hot cauliflower has very little taste and often is served over-cooked/soggy which I don't care for.

I love it cooked ... aloo gobi, gobi manchurian, butter cauliflower, cauliflower curry, cauliflower 'wings', yum. I just had some veggie korma today that had some pieces of cauliflower, it was so good.

Raw is just okay. I never put it out with raw veggies myself, but if I'm somewhere that it's available, I'll have a piece.
