For Me……I have a Toyota Sienna (mini van) and I can have 8 people in there at one time.

Hyundai Sonata. Says it seats 5 adults, but squeezing 3 in back would be uncomfortable. Then again there were never more than 2 back there so many not.

2015 Honda pilot - Can fit 8 with all three rows. 7 more comfortably as the third row is narrower.

On a trip to Disney, 5 max as we need the cargo space for the drive there. But once we are there, we can take 8 around without issue...

2016 Mazda 3 hatchback, 3 and 1 very small person behind me as the driver.

The issue wouldn't be fitting a family of 4 in my car. The issue would be needing someone pushing from behind to move the car with 4 people in it.

Now one of my old cars, 11 high school kids in a 1983 Ford Escort, and we were comfortable, LOL.

4 comfortably
Chevy Blazer
Mostly only 2
Or if I’m going into office and it’s me and my puppy ❤️ He’s 54 pounds (yes he’s a puppy ). He gets to ride in front seat now - he’s doing really well with it - with no traffic it is 45 min drive - with traffic - we’ll pack a lunch you could be hours - I usually dive off highway and tour back roads to get to/ from work when highway is a mess ( me and millions of others but still better than sitting )
I like the car for hauling groceries as I only go once a month and can load a ton in it !

Well I can’t fit any people in my cat…lol but can fit 4 comfortably but it can fit 5 with the middle back seat.

seat belts for 5, 3 adults in the back would be tight but doable for a short ride.
This, exactly, although in my own vehicle I admit I’ve never tried 5. Due to the crazy rental-car situation we were stuck with a compact cross-over (Nissan Kicks) on our summer vacation. There were 5 of us and it was pretty awful. Being the smallest/shortest, I got stuck with back-middle every ride.

I drive a VW Passat. Seat belts for 5, but that middle seat in the back is puny. Very comfy for my family of 4.

DH has a Dodge Ram 1500. Belts for 6, the middle seats in the front and back seats are less terrible. It's a great road trip vehicle.
