I love ice cream cones. I think ice cream tastes better when it is licked or bitten from a cone. I don’t like to eat the cone, although to get all the ice cream it is necessary to eat a little of the cone.
I like cones; ice cream for me is a treat on-the-go and the cone is mostly just a convent way of eating it. I usually eat at least some of the cone, but not always. Given a choice I always choose a small sugar cone but most of my ice cream this summer has been soft-serve from McDonalds and one particularly old-school dairy bar here in town. Neither have anything fancy and there is no choice but a plain (cake) cone.
Love ice cream cones. Cake cones are my absolute favorite because I'm a weird Gen X type and we always had the artificial colored cake cones in my house growing up.
Anyway, if I have a choice, I always get cake, but I enjoy sugar cones and waffle cones too.
I would really enjoy a Nutty Buddy ice cream cone right about now. It's already sweltering outside. 100 degrees yesterday, but it will only be 97 today....
I ice cream cones, in a regular cake cone, and we have several places near us to get them, but as a diabetic I have to be careful. I almost always get a baby cone, so it isn’t as much sugar or calories. Just a big enough portion to be satisfying.
I like waffle cones, but I rarely get them. When I go out for ice cream it's usually with my dogs and I could not eat a cone before it made a mess. At home I eat ice cream directly from the carton (Ben and Jerry's or Haagen Dazs).
I love soft serve ice cream in a cake cone, especially with vanilla ice cream. The best part is that last bite of cone that’s filled with slightly melty ice cream. Yum!
I'm not opposed to a good sugar or waffle cone, but for the most part, I just get ice cream in a dish. Most of the time, we're taking it home, so it's impossible to do that with a cone.
I wouldn’t turn down any of them. But I don’t often get the larger waffle cone, and if given a choice between a sugar and cake, I choose sugar, as I like the taste of the cone better.
Prefer my scooped ice cream in a cup. That is the vast majority of what I buy when I get ice cream. Always get a twist cone at AK from the blue truck in Asia, that is on a waffle cone. Never get a cake cone.
When I get a cone now I tell the clerk to flip it over and put it in a cup after making the cone, and to give me a spoon.
It doesn't cost more, the way most times ice cream in a cup is priced more, AND I get the cone.
When they give it to me, I usually just flip it back over. It's still attached to the cone. And if it isn't I just press the cup of ice cream down over the cone and it will attach. Then I take off the cup and can have it as a cone without having to rush through it before it melts. And when it gets to the melting point, in the cup it goes to eat the rest. And I can slowly fill up the bottom part of the cone with the spoon.
