A DIS Meet at a casino........we need to do this!!
I'd do that! And after a bunch of us hung out for a while, I'd walk through the casino for a few minutes before returning to the room. That kind of casino visit I'd enjoy!

Not for me. I’m not “lucky” in general, I don’t understand cards or table games well enough to feel confident and the machines are too blinky and noisy. All in all, just irritating and kind of stressful, not fun.

I like them! I do not go very often as my husband does not any gambling desire what so ever. We have a fairly large casino about an hour away. Sometimes I'll ask to go for my B-day since they have some nice eateries too. Last time visited: pre covid so I think it was 2019

** I was there once with my sister and within minutes I had won a $640 payout. I knew my sister would want to try her luck for awhile longer so I played a little bit more and cashed out at $600. I used that $ for a 2 night weekend stay at a Great Wolf Lodge -2 BR room.!!!!

Big fan - usually go to one or two a year. Last time was with my older son to a casino in WV - just before he moved away for his co-op. I prefer to play poker, but also like craps and blackjack. Try to avoid slots, but it usually sucks me (and my money) in for a little while.

I love them!

I have a few casinos close by, but I don't visit them very often - maybe once a year if family is in town. Otherwise I stick to Vegas and cruise ships for my gambling.

I love to play blackjack, craps, and pai gow when I need a slow game because I am losing. ;) I play slots too, but I like the old fashioned ones with the reels. The only video one I really loved was the Sex and the City game and I never see it anymore. I could put $40 in that machine and play for hours! Granted I never won BIG, but I had so much fun.

I haven't been gambling in years. I wouldn't mind going back. But I always limit myself. I see billboards for people who win some fairly large amounts, and I get tempted to win a little extra cheddah.

I used to go more often in the 90's. I recall some elderly folks would be there at night, mindlessly pumping coins into 2-3 machines at once. That's sad to see. I knew a guy who worked in security at a casino, some people would be there so long, never stopping to even use the rest room, and EMTs would even have to be called in to tend to them.

The last time I went to a casino was sometime in early 2019. A friend is a gambler. He seem to be pretty lucky. I usually have a $20-$30 limit. I play minimum bets and pace myself. He play $200-$300 and usually does max bets. We are there for an hour or two. I run out of money early usually and just watch him. Sometimes he sneaks money into my machine for me to continue to play. I think it is really only fun to me because it is a social thing not for the gambling part.

unfortunately not interested. However, I go to Vegas when I am promised the Bellagio and Wynn buffets!!

Personally, I would rather shop than gamble, but as long as it's not too smoky I don't mind going. I also have a friend who is really lucky at the Wheel of Fortune slots, so that made me smile about Slo's DH.

My DH has found that poker tournaments provide the most entertainment for him. Usually a $50-$100 buy in and he gets 2-5 hrs at the table. If he were to just walk up to a table he would spend the same amount in 20 mins.

My stepdad is exceptionally lucky--a bad day at a casino is breaking even for him.

I like them. We are about 3 hours from Atlantic City or the casinos in Conn. We go on average twice a year for our birthdays. We only play slots and usually the minimum bet. We do it for "mindless" entertainment. We used to enjoy the buffets (pre-covid) It is a quick get away for us.

Now I have a "casino" about 1 mile from my home. It has been there was several years and I think we have been there 3 times. It is not about the gambling but rather the get away etc and that is why we don't just go to this casino.

I have never been to any local Casinos, but I’ll pull a slot or two in Vegas.
And when we stay in Niagara Falls we usually get a $50 Casino credit with our stay. I’ll use it, but that’s it. When it’s gone, it’s gone. I won’t use my money.

Not my thing. I can’t remember the last time I went to one other to walk through them to get to a restaurant.

Then come up to Firekeepers in Battle Creek, MI. Bring Dan.....we actually had a Meet in Battle Creek years ago so he knows the way! :)

HATE Casinos! When driving to Utah we can't get through Vegas fast enough. My first job out of college I worked on the design of the Luxor. I worked for a guy who designed a lot of the Circus Circus properties. He worked us like dogs and the pay was terrible. The guys I worked with took me aside on day 1 and told me I had made a big mistake - they were not wrong. I quickly learned that Casinos were just designed to lure you in and keep you plugging quarters in the slot machines. All hat, no cowboy. There's nothing "luxury" about any of them. Case in point; just look at the ones with roller coasters. Manhattan Express is well known for being one of the roughest coasters anywhere. Desperado in Primm is SBNO. the MGM park was pretty lame and was taken out the second MGM decided it didn't serve its purpose. The casinos do zero maintenance on any of them and if you think the rooms or any other facilities are any different you are dead wrong.

I have only been once, and it wasn’t my cup of tea. I am more of a lottery person, so I can lose in private.

Been a few times. Went last year to one for a concert. Had fun walking around. Trying to get a bite to eat before show was crazy, everywhere was jammed full with hour-long waits.

For me not a big gambler however I like to go and see shows etc when i go to Vegas or Atlantic City.
