I’m not gonna lie….,today’s topic makes me feel like my age, even though any age can use Voltaren, but it seems like most people 50 and over use it. Voltaren is great for a lot of aches and pains. It’s not cheap though, so you can buy generic versions at most drug stores. What is Voltaren you ask? Here ya go……

Now that you have read what Voltaren is, let’s discuss who uses it and where on their body they use it. So, Enquirering minds want to know…..

Do you use Voltaren gel?
If yes…..where on your body do you use it?
(multiple choice)

For Me……I do use Voltaren every day and sometimes it helps and sometimes it doesn’t. I originally bought it for me knees, but those are to far gone and it doesn’t help that (they both need to be replaced). I now use it on my shoulder, and it does help that, which is good. I also use it on my foot, which sometimes it helps a little and sometimes it doesn’t. I never thought to use it on my wrist until I read the description I posted and I may try that - I do have carpal tunnel. I go through a lot of Voltaren and I buy the generic version.

I haven’t but I’m going to thanks to you telling me about it I have used others brands of other medication’s with mixed results I am looking forward to trying this and I am hoping it helps I will probably just dip my whole body in it it’s like a body butter since my whole body seems to hurt these days🤣🤣🤣🤣 but seriously I’m looking forward to trying this and I’m hoping it helps!! And thank you so much for telling me about it❤️❤️

We’ve used different types of Voltaren over the years.

There’s actually a tube of it right beside me at the moment. It’s the extra strength joint pain version. I think my husband used it before he went to work this morning.

I generally use the back and muscle pain version. I really don’t think it helps me much though.

I was a competitive butterfly swimmer. I started with bengay when I was 14 I now use volteran fairly regularly. I should probably get surgery but I’ve put it off for 30 years and I’m used to the pain and limited use of my shoulder.

I have two tubes of diclofenac that my orthopedist prescribed before I had my knee replaced two years ago. It didn't seem to help at all then, at least with my knee before the surgery. However, I've been using it lately to help with some of the stiffness I am still experiencing in the replaced knee, although I can't tell if it really does much or not. DH has started using it on his thumb which is exhibiting symptoms of arthritis. The base of my left thumb has started bothering me recently, so I'll give it a try. I'm not sure it'll work... next stop might be CBD cream.

I am grateful Voltaren has helped some of dear you. I had an immediate horrible reaction to it the one time I used it. After the fact, I learned that years ago, a close cousin had a long-term truly painful experience after using Voltaren. Be careful and in allbways in general of course take care.

We don't have Voltaren in the UK but we do have Voltarol, that I'm guessing is the same thing. I haven't used this brand, but have used something similar in the past and can't say it had much effect other than an initially nice warming sensation. It certainly didnt seem to do much for my back, at least nothing that painkillers, exercises and osteopath trips weren't already doing a lot better!

I've been made fun of by my family and friends for using Voltaren but it's a lifesaver on Disney trips or even vacations that include a ton of walking such as when I was in Japan.

I have never used it. Does it work on muscular pain as well as joint pain? I have issues with my back, but they are muscular, not skeletal.

200 fly was my favorite event!

I did use it, maybe 12 years or so ago. Before my knee replacement 11 years ago, my ortho doc prescribed it for me. It was of marginal, little help, but I used it. But then on my next visit to my cardiologist, and doing an Rx update as we all do each medical visit, he told me it was an NSAID and not to take it. I had been not taking any NSAID's for several years back then due to the negative aspects on NSAID's on cardio. Pretty much any pain reliever other than acetaminophen (Tylenol) is an NSAID. So I stopped the Voltaren. Then when I had my knee replacement October, 2014, no need for pain relief for the knee. Should have done the replacement when the ortho guy first said I needed it, probably 10 years prior to then.

So did use, but no longer use.
