For Americans, it’s that time of year that towns and cities have fireworks shows. America isn’t the only country that has these shows, other countries across the globe have them too. Some shows are small and some shows are huge (then there are Disney fireworks, snd nothing compares to those). So, it doesn’t matter where you live, let’s talk about professional fireworks shows today. Give us your booming good answer today…….

For Me……I like them a lot. I can’t say I love them, because it depends on the show. The local towns I like, they’re pretty good. Chicago fireworks are awesome - I love those, but it’s been an incredibly long time since I’ve been to one of those shows. So, I voted like, since the town shows are what I go to every year. In fact, I’m going to see one town’s tonight. Fingers crossed there’ll be no mosquitoes out, which is the worst part of going to fireworks shows for me.

Love them, DH doesn't, so I don't usually go.

At WDW, I leave him in Epcot to go watch them at Magic Kingdom whenever possible.

I work in DC and while the fireworks on the Mall are a huge spectacular, I do not like the crowds or getting in and out of the city, so I don't bother. I can see several local fireworks from where I am staying. I go to WDW some 30 nights a year and get plenty of fireworks action.

Only watch them at Disney and sometimes at my house because you can see some really good displays at my house because people in subdivisions put on really nice displays but for the most part I’m in the house with my dog because he freaks out with all the loud noise from the fireworks
So I usually have music on very loud like extremely loud try to drown that out so he doesn’t freak out so bad he seems to like rap music the best it’s kind of disheartening it’s not one of my favorite genres of music but it’s his night so he gets to pick the music

We do our own fireworks show here and can come in and take breaks to cool down.

I loveeee firework shows!
One year I attended a fireworks exposition and contest in Monaco; it was a show that I often plan to revisit but never have.

The man and I used to visit DC every Memorial Day weekend which was highlighted by fireworks and music; good times.

For many years the Macy’s Independence Day show was a must to attend in person but it became too crowded for us and we fell in love with small town celebrations instead for a while. I do still enjoy the show’s rehearsal that takes place in Queens a week in advance. Somehow for the past 40 odd years I’ve always lived close enough to see it.

Still, enjoy the fireworks at WDW and particularly the latest EPCOT show called Luminous. No need to scurry for seating with this one as you can view from anywhere in the WS.

I haven't been to any of the local ones in ages, they're just not worth the hassle. I do love Disney fireworks.

I was fortunate to be in Boston on July 4, 1976. The fireworks display was unlike any I have ever seen since. I love fireworks, but my area is to hot to be outside to watch them.

Disney has spoiled me for fireworks! If it ain't Disney, I am unlikely to bother.

I don't like them personally. Not really sure why, but it's just something that never really grabbed me. I spend fireworks time at the shelter with the dogs keeping them secure because a majority of them have real issues with the banging and booming. That's pretty much been my 4th of July 7 to 10 day routine for several years now. It's pretty fun spending it with them to be honest.

Love fireworks! Our city hosts a huge annual international competition called GlobalFest every year with 5 different nations competing every night and the top 5 putting on the finale on final night. It's always an amazing display and a wonderful event attended by over 10,000 people nightly with music, food and cultural displays from all the countries. Malaysia is the odds-on-favorite to win this year - an Asian team almost always wins. They invented fireworks and they still do them best!! The only downside is that here, in the height of summer when this festival is held, it doesn't get dark until almost 11:00 pm so it makes for a very, very late evening, especially on a week night.

I love them. Wife and I are on a town committee that organizes a firework/food truck festival every year. We had ours last Saturday, it's a lot of hours planning but always a good time.

I am the "sporadic" answer that got missed because it varies as to what day/town we go to. But I have great memories of fireworks in different places over the years.

I will probably not go this year do to some other busy commitments, but have set the televised ones in Boston to record on the DVR in case I miss them too much.

I am neutral on fireworks. I haven’t gone to the local show since my daughters were young.

Our local country club has fireworks on July 3rd. We are lucky enough to be able to see the fireworks from our driveway. Our neighbor always has a big fireworks viewing part. We always go to my sister-in-law's lake house for July 4th, so we don't see any fireworks on the 4th.

Disney fireworks have totally spoiled us. We haven't seen any shows better than their fireworks.

I love fireworks but at this point I watch them at Disney or if I can see them from wherever I am, like the holidays at Marriott World Center they do a nice show. I will not go out of my way to see them because I don't want to be amongst the crowds in an uncontrolled setting. I am currently in a FL town that has one of the biggest 4th fireworks on east coast. Shoot from a big barge in bay. I went downtown yesterday to dine and wander, and the addition of car blocking barricade devices (post NOLA event addition) was all I needed to see to know I didn't want to be in the crowds for it.

Very good friends of ours have a backyard get together every 4th. On our way home, about 10 PM, we watch the various towns' displays as we drive home. That suffices for us. I can take it or leave it.

I like them, but not a fan of crowds. The last few years we've been able to catch multiple fireworks shows from different towns (plus Cedar Point's nighttime show) from over the bay on the 4th. It's in the distance, so you get the lights but little noise, which is also better for our dog, who hates the noise.

Some of the amateur shows put on by people blowing stuff up in my neighborhood come close to rivaling some of the smaller professional shows.

I did my time for years as part of my streets 4th of July party, launching many mortars, the vast majority of which went vertical, only a few went horizontal.

Last years party was a shell of a 4th of July party.

Twenty years ago there would be 100+ people in attendance with kids running around everywhere. A giant inflatable water slide, bouncy house(s) and so much to eat and drink, all followed up by $3000-$5000 in explosions. The fireworks part would last two hours. It was really excessive.

Now some of the original kids have kids and new traditions and last year attendance was so sad we decided it was the last 4th of July street party.
